Nice C51050SAB, Stag Coke Bottle Hunter.
Very rare indeed :thumbup:
Here's a 551. It's a linerlock not a traditional slip joint. I thought it would fit the "Rare" part of the thread.

Here's a Case classic 6391 Whittler. It has a Proto script on the bolster but I have no COA card and I've been told the box that it came in is wrong color and the jigging looks wrong and you name it. I've used up all my Googlefu skills looking for another one identical to it without success. Having said that it's a very well made knife. The entire Prototype program developed by Parker has been the victim of malfeasance. That's a topic for another time.

That is one of the oddest knives i have seen. Is it not odd also that that sad young man seems to have started one of the most interesting threads ?

the rarest Case I have is a Case Blackhorn 3.5 2104L. It's the lockback hunter that has the separating handle that opens up for cleaning. I gave it to my father back in the 80's and got it back when he passed. Over 30 years old and still has never been used, nor has it seen a stone. He just couldn't bring himself to use it and kept it in a jewelry box. Not sure if the design and rubber coated handle disqualifies it from being traditional.

This may well belong in another thread if so please feel free to move it.

As many of you know I'm a huge Case fan and always searching for my next grail knife. Over the years I've collected quite a bit of interesting and informational pics while cruising the web. Some of these knives I will probably never locate but the search continues. Figured some of you might enjoy and yes I would say that some are indeed rare.

Thanks Primble, I really enjoy some of these OLD KNIVES......:thumbup::D

Fantastic knife Al !!! :eek::thumbup::thumbup::)

Southern Woods - are any of those collections yours or are they all your want list knives? :confused::confused::)

Sadly most of them are "want list" knives. I do have a decent collection that is similar to one of those boards in the pics. I will try to get a few pics tomorrow night when I get back home of my meager stash.
