Up for sale is a highly collectible, rare piece of Spyderco history. My late father purchased this in 1994 and it sat unused and untouched in his jewelry box for the last 30 + years. I inherited this upon his recent passing.
This is the Spyderco Co-Pilot (Model C09SATU) featuring the gray Tuffram-coated aluminum handles and a serrated GIN-1 steel blade.
Manufactured in Seki City, Japan between 1994 and 1995, this specific variant had a limited production run of only 500 units.
This is the standard, clean version with no collector number engraving on the blade.

- Overall: New In Box (NIB) / Mint condition. It has never been carried, used, or sharpened.
- Blade: Pristine factory edge with untouched serrations and original factory grind lines. Centering is excellent.
- Handles: The gray Tuffram coating is entirely flawless. No pocket swirls, scratches, or handling marks (which are incredibly common on these aluminum scales).
- Packaging: Comes with the original, period-correct Spyderco box. The factory yellow sticker is intact and correctly labeled "C09SATU". Note: there is a small ding on the box from something that was in my father’s jewelry box.
