Rarest of the rare

Not another one like this one.

My NMFSHLE will be rare, just because of what slabs I found for Garth to put on for me. Can't wait!

Trevor, that was the only way we could improve upon you!!!:D:thumbup: And Doink...well, he'll just have to get over it!:D

Two of my favorites. The AD is pretty rare, especially since it is snake and sterile. The FSH is one of a kind. It has a cousin with some different grinds (would love to know where) but as far as I know this one is unique. :)

I have a question for any of you veteran Hogs. Did the Busse logo move from a blade style with an ergo handle to a fusion handle about the same time that the fusion handle style replaced the ergo handle? If so, I'm assuming fusion handled knives with an ergo handled logo are kind of scarce? I've seen a few pictures with examples of the same model Busse with both logo styles so there appears to be a short lag between the time the handle style changed and the time the logo changed.

I have a pic of it but I don't think I can post it. If I get word from Busse that its ok, I'll put up an in hand shot

I've been looking for an 8 pound keg of CFE223 or Win748 for damn near 10 months now.

Pic thread

1 of 1, apprentice straight handle battle mistress, 5160 steel. Probably part of the batch that went to Justin Gingrich for his Ranger Knives.

Yup CFE223 and Varget.

Thanks to a recent superHOG informant ;) , I was under the impression that pics of the Hog Soul aren't supposed to be publicly posted...would be interesting if the shop changed their stance on that - let us know what they say.

What an awesome looking blade it is!

Until Jerry says otherwise... That is correct. Please do not post pix of any SOUL knife.

I completely understand if the info isn't supposed to be known just yet, but if it is..... What is a SOUL knife?

The les baer jackhammer you mentioned, only 4 were made. I thought the coating they used on them was les baer's poly ceramic coating & not a crinkle coat?

Heres a few I found with quick search:)

one sole author from Garth

THeres only one of these to my knowledge

THe LMS only had 30 or so

Oh a satin B-9 dont think theres another--mod

Jerrys pic I think but not many of these 1983 fighter

Ive only seen one of these ever but that doesnt mean a whole lot;)

Only three mammoth culteleus' and only one full mammoth

Heres the 1/10 flat ground DSF that Eric mentioned

THere were only 4 of these. They were the Jack hammers that were made to actually match the Les Bauer 1911 but due to cost the sage crinkle coat was used instead in actual set.

THese were all fairly rare due to the green linen

KZ proto with slightly shorter handle done in three colors I think...pumpkin, black& tan, and black

whole set of RMD protos

Heres the stealth hawk that was mentioned

Not many snake moabs, possibly the only snake Magnum SK, and the only Ive seen snake SJLE but that was a modd

I believe the INFI SHSHII is very rare as most were a-2

Fat SFNO at .27 in stead of normal .22" Id say is pretty rare

Heres a Fogos dinner knife

T, according to the old Bad Mojo pages, there were 117 LMS's made.

Bad Mojo said:
There were 117 Lean Mean Street made.
7 Prototypes, of these I Now know of 2 that survived.
I know of 1 Lean Mean Street with Camo handles
there are around 6 or 7 with Tan handles and the rest had the standard black macarta handles.
I also know of 2 Lean Mean Street Variants out there.

Now out of them, this one is pretty rare... Facory DCBB LMS. No INFI dimples as it and its few siblings were ground from MS's for a special order. Pretty sure Bravado owns the rest. Somehow this one escaped his vault, and later ended up on the X for about 10 seconds (;)) before coming to me.

Here's my only other, a standard LMS:

Bolo_SH-Argonne.jpg

...And while not a rare model, only the first 3 Aftershock Bolos have the older oval Busse logo with the SH-e handle towards the tip while the rest have the more well known SH-e logo. (see above, same pic with LMS) :)
