Yes, I used a paint remover to remove the coating and I have it rubbed with some fine abrasive paper.
Very easy ! But be careful with the paint remover, it's dangerous for eyes and skin !

Thanks! That's easier than I thought. I have a lot of experience with paint removers, paint thinners, glues and such... :foot:
Not that I plan to strip the coating off my first ESEE knife, but maybe I'll try with the third or fourth one

The .30-06s are real the grenade is not but I do get to handle detcord, primashear, ANFO and other "goodies" on a daily basis.
