RAT Cutlery Warranty Info

i love the rc..warranty it means a lot for a company to stand behind its product keep it up.

i think its a pretty awesome warranty, i dont think any company would ever do this unless they stood behind their product. it also gives a pretty good peace of mind. i hate to spend lots of money on a knife that i know i will work hard with, knowing that it could break someday. the RAT warranty alone is a pretty awesome incentive to go with their knives, however even without it RAT knives are still pretty awesome. all that warranty does for me is tell me Randall and the people at RAT are people i can trust and depend on for awesome products.

I know this may be a jacked up question before I ask but oh well. I read RAT's warranty & heard that removing the coatings does not void the warranty. Does making modifications to the scales void the warranty?

"If you screw it up, break it, or cut it in two with a cutting torch, send it back and we'll replace it. Warranty is transferable. In other words, we warranty the knife no matter how many times it's been traded, sold or given away. We don't ask for a sales receipt, date of purchase or where you bought the knife - No fine print and no hassles. If you have a problem, contact us."

"We do not warranty against rust or normal wear and tear."

Yeah I read all of that as I mentioned. I guess my concern or for whatever reason is that a bunch of people could be jacking up their scales by screwing up a on modifications & then want RAT to replace them. Maybe it's not a big deal for them.

RAT doesn't replace scales. In order for the knife to be replaced the knife would have to be truly broken, i.e. snapped tip etc.:)

I have read on here that the warranty covers knives in their "original form."

Does removing the factory coating affect the warranty?

When you communicate with us about RAT Cutlery, especially warranty issues, please use clear, concise English in emails or writing. Trying to translate the illiterate text messaging format that some people are using becomes a guessing game and the meaning of what you are trying to communicate then becomes ambiguous. If it is impossible to type complete words on your crackberry then wait until you can sit at a regular keyboard on a standard computer and communicate. Thanks, Mike

I just posted a new thread about this also.

BTW, Mike, you spell "thanks" with an "n" not an "m"

:D

I just watched that knifetests video and I still can't believe it. I would not think any knife could take that kind of abuse. Just another reason to keep me buying from esee. Just unbelievable toughness.

Zombies can only be killed by severing the head or destroying the brain...

Brain? Brains... BRAINS!

(Too late!)

Why did I just watch a Noss video?:o

Now I'm really hoping the Pack knife is a 4, it went through those concrete blocks like butter.
