Rat ESEE Lite Machete Pics

I posted this over on W&SS but that thread has already fallen off the edge of the world...

Looks like a solid performer. I love the handle, no real surprises there but it looks like the distillation of a lot of collected wisdom on machete handle design with excellent execution.

First impression, I'm impressed. The price is about where a high end machete should be. Machetes are not safe queens, they are intended to do the most brutal and abusive blade tasks a blade could be called to do. In the process they WILL suffer edge damage, it just comes with the territory. From what I have seen in this post that machete is spot on.

I can only hope this is the first in a line of machetes and there will be other models available. That machete and a RAT4 and you're covered for the tropics. Mac

ETA - Is it just an impression or has the handle been left a little large to allow for individual tailoring?

I think there might be a LITTLE room for tailoring, but not much. It looks like it matches the shape of the polypropylene handles pretty darn closely.

It looked a little bulky to me too until Joe posted pictures showing the thickness. :)

Man that is nice. Thanks for the pcitures. I hope they start selling them soon.
