See, my wife is very much not into the knife thing, so I'm totally on my own in this house. That's OK, I have enough for everyone! So, it would make me sad to actually see an unused knife sitting in my safe. It would pain me to know it was not having any fun, deprived of doing what it was designed to do (and we all know RATs were designed to excel at all things knifey). So as long as the scales don't have anything RAT PACK-y about them, they're gone. For the real nasty, potentially knife-damaging jobs, I always have my stash of old Ontario RATs that I can beat up, too.

I used to think that way, but the reality is I have too many knives and even though I kind of structured my buying to get knives with different features, I have several with duplicate functions. Hell I even have an RC-3, but the forum one won't be serrated like the one I have so I'll have something that differs in usability attributes beyond just visual differences.

One plus on this one, is I will definitely be going for a custom leather sheath and that one sheath will fit both RC'3 so I'll be able to pick and choose mode of carry.

So here is he question - can we get the RC3 forum knife with molle back???? That would be really versatile as I could use it with any of 2 RC-3 in my collection as well as my RC4.....

My thinking here is, the Molle back is available seperately and adding it to the forum knife is going to up the cost thus making less people buy.

I'd rather keep it as simple/inexpensive as possible.
