RAT Pack Pouch 1st. Generation

I love the creativity here! My small pack is in the truck. It has various medical stuff and the such, but one thing I won't leave out of it is Iodine tablets. That is one thing I learned during my time with Outward Bound when I was younger... watch what you drink and where you drink it from or you'll end up in a diaper in a hospital...
or maybe that was just me.
I'm new here, so I'll try to get some pics up soon.
 
I've been debating on whether or not to get this pouch and now after seeing these DETAILED photos, it will be my NEXT purchase!!!
I had NO idea that the sheath was secured in it! I thought it floated in there!!!
Silly me! I should have known better!!!
 
The split ring holding the sheath in in the new pack design was Tony's idea as you can see from this thread. We had many folks complain that the old design grommet hole screwed up the pocket too so we came up with Tony's split ring sliding on a strap (see new version photos on our web site). Nearly all of the ideas for the changes on the new one came from form members here. The strap fot the large bag, zipper going all the way up, separating the bag into two and making a smaller more urban friendly carry-- all these ideas and more came from the forum. Thank you all for helping us design better products!

I think I'm going to hold out for the new one. I just have a trip coming up end of Sept (WLC course) and one of these would be nice for it.But I think I'll just wait.
 
this is all great info.. but so far I have not seen a picture of a kit with an ESEE-5.. am I the only one that has a pouch with the ESEE 5? Sorry that I dont have any pictures , I left the pouch at home when I deployed, but my H.E.S.T is my EDC.

new to forum really like the old generation like the ones in the photos, where can i get one, i would like to get one in tan if i can find it
