RAT Pack Pouch

I posted this question on another thread with no response because we all new a new review thread was coming. My question is in regards to the retension chord that holds the knife in. Does it seem to work well? How long do you think it will last before needing replaced? How easy will it be to replace? I'm my concerns are for nothing as it is probably a great piece of gear.

We don't publicly state we ship internationally because we want to be able to communicate directly with the buyer and let them know the risks of confiscation by their Customs, duties and taxes, etc. None of which we will be responsible for. After we ship and send the buyer a tracking #, it's our of our hands and we are no longer responsible.

oh k, nice to know that.... starts saving more pennies

This is a really cool idea. I've been trying to build a similar kit around the Izula, but haven't found the right pouch yet.

The cord does seem to work well...I think it takes a 3rd wrap to hold securely.
not sure on the longevity of it,I have only had it a few days, Every thing has a timelife ,does not look hard to replace if you happend to break it,wear it out, cut it ,burn it or whatever you do to the shock cord...:D

Hey thanks for the reply. I just haven't seen a lot of knives secured that way so wanted to check.

Blackberry with GPS, spare battery, bic and roll of 100's?? :)) Toss in a mini bottle of cognac and a good short cigar and you gotta a survival kit!

Personally I think I would rather have Bourbon in mine. It looks like a sweet kit, almost completely ready to go when you get it.

As not to clutter too many threads, I'm gonna add my photos to this one if you don't mind

starts with a down the top shot, and moves into an exploded kit. I still need to adjust some bits of it. I don't like the size of the saw handles...but I don't like using it with just paracord handles either.

I'm working on a small altoids kit for the RC6 molle back/pouch kit. Hasn't come in yet, but I'll get pics up once it does.

Good pic now I'm buying one for myself. My Xmas to myself. Now if I can only wait till Dec. :)

If you guys ever really get concerned over what a LEO might say then just go by the Post Office and get one of the Ready.GOV pamphlets and keep it in your BOB. If he asks about the gear, show him the pamphlet. Your just being a "good citizen" doing what your government is advising you to do.

Meh. Any LEO who looks at this kit and thinks I'm off to rob a bank, I'd willingly go downtown with.... just to see his fellow officers laugh at him.

I just picked up mine tonight, too....WOW - that's a beautiful pack! I got two, one black and one tan; both with RC6s (can't have too many of those!). Been trying to figure out what I want inside, so I'm shamelessly looking at other folks' ideas here on BF.

Oh, by the way...it fits a Busse Satin Jack TAC, too....like a glove! I'm really loving the versatility that this brings to my gear!

Black and tan. Mmmmm yummy.

For mine, I'd probably goig to ditch the gerber. Too hard to fit. Going to add a filter straw and an sak trekker. Also the saw handles have to go.
