Ok I have a Rat Daddy that was previously satined and rehandled by a forum member here. I then went out and picked up a Ratweiler and just today I got the last of the Rats I wanted to complete my 3 knife set. A Rat SAR. When I got the modded Rat Daddy thre pevious owner managed to dig up the origional scales.

My next step is to ( when I get some money together ) send them all to Norcalblacktail for satining, edge work and Liners. The Rat Daddy will have the origional handles re-installed. I am torn about liner color though. Any suggestions on what would be good with the old gen 1 rat handles against a satin blade? Red, Yellow, purple... lotta choices.

After that they are all being shipped to Mr Swinkle in the netherlands for some matching pants. I think this will be a sweet three piece set.

Here she is:

Thanks. I actually had alot more pictures but people kept bitchin about too many pictures slowing their comp down on slower syatems ( I guess they must never visit the picture only sticky lol. ) so I kept it short compared to usual.

Anyone have any liner suggestions?

Nice set, can't wait to see them when you get them back from the spa.
The liners are a tough one. White would look sweet, Red is always nice or Yellow for a little flare.
Then there is Green..... good luck.

you are my Hero brother!!! I think red or yellow would make them pop a bit. But honestly I dont think you need the liners. I have a Gen 1 Ratweiler, and a chopweiler, and really am on the hunt for a dog skinner or similar.

I was looking for a skinner as well but stumbled on this Sar in a old thread and it was still available. I know there are I think 5 blades in a full set of these but I chose the 3 I liked best and went with them. I think I chose well. I have all sizes represented. Rat Daddy 10 inches plus chopper. Ratweiler 7.5 mid range camp knife. Rat SAR 4.5 inch small task camp knife.

I might have to add a scrapivore type blade. One sec while I look this up....

Skeletons:

RIP (Rat Ice Pick) (SR101) = 2.2 oz; .1875"; 8" oal

Rat Tail (SR101) = 3.2 oz; .1875”; 3.75” blade; 7.75” oal

Rat Shaker (SR101).. = ??? oz; .25”; 2.5” blade; 5” oal
Rat Shaker II (SR101) = ??? oz; .25”; 2.5” blade; 5” oal

Swamp Rat Warden 2007 (SR101) = 2.6 oz; .185" - .1875"; 3.0” blade; 7” oal
Swamp Rat Warden 2010 (SR101) = 2.2 oz; .135" - .15"; 3.0” blade; 7” oal

(SY) Scrapivore CG (SR101)(58-60 RC) = 1.8 oz; .125”; 2.75” blade; 6.5” oal
(SY) Scrapivore LE (SR101)(62-64 RC) = 1.8 oz; .125”; 2.75” blade; 6.5” oal

(SY) Dog Booty (Sandvik 12C27 - 58-60 Rc) = ? oz; .175"; 3.5" blade; 7.25" oal

Which of the above Swamprat offerings would best match my current set-up do you think? Keep in mind I have very large hands.

Ill try and ,look a few of them up .
