Rate Your ESEE's

I'll wager this has been done before. But of the ESEE's you own, rank them from your most favorite to least favorite. I know that may be difficult, it's like saying pick your favorite child. All I ask is you qualify what you pick as your #1.

For me,

1) ESEE-5

2) Izula

3) ESEE-4

4) ESEE-3MIL

5) ESEE-6

The reason why I choose the ESEE-5 as my number one is pretty simple. Of the entire ESEE line, I feel it's the most versatile. It is really the Jack of All Trades. It's going to do a lot of different tasks very well. Maybe not as well as some of the others on my list, but just overall it's the most well rounded I feel.

I've had mine an extremely short amount of time, but have put it through as many paces as I could and it's just friggin' great. Once a little more time goes by, I plan on putting up a little review about this one.

We certainly buy knives for aesthetic appeal as well. Of the entire ESEE line, I also think the 5 is the most attractive. It's beautiful and badass all at the same time.

So, let's hear your rankings.

I like the way you think.

For me,

1) ESEE-5

2) Izula

3) Junglas

4) Lite Machete

I picked the 5 because everything you said in your original posting. :thumbup:

This is not that easy, I love and cherish them all equally.

If I have to put them in order it will have to be based on what's used most and then down to the least.

1. Izula
2. ESEE-4
3. ESEE-3
4. Junglas

I sold the 5 and 6 to a good friend that had nothing, I used them the least.

I use my Izula every day.

I think I'll tell my son to throw it in my casket when I die, just in case I need it on the other side :D
 
This really is a tough question....

If I had to rate them it would go something like this...

1. Izula
2. 4
3. 3
4. Junglas
5. 6
6. Lite Machete
7. HEST
8. 5

I really do love them all....

I put the Izula up top because it gets used everyday. Its ALWAYS within reach...

The 4 just seems to be the right size for the woods...

But, again, I really do love them all. :D:D
 
I absolutely love all my ESEE knives, but I will rank them as frequency of use:

1. Izula
2. ESEE 3
3. ESEE 6
4. Junglas
5. ESEE 4 (this one is actually my wife's....guess I need to order one for myself)!

I've got a serious feeling that my pre-ordered Izula II will find it's way to the top of this ranking:D

This is more like "what I use most" more than "what I like best".
I REALLY like them all.
My Izzy has been in my pocket EVERYDAY since it arrived!! I love that little ant!!
When I first got the three I EDC'd it for a while and it's a great .
The four is a very good all around knife.
I am waiting for my HEST to arrive (11 days since it was mailed and STILL NO movement on the USPS site :( :mad::mad: ). When it gets here it will replace the Izzy for a while.

ETA: My HEST arrived Friday afternoon and has been riding in my pocket since.
This blade feels as though it was made for MY hand!!!!

I figured this ranking question would be a tough one for most of us.

I just need someone to convince me that I "need" to add a Junglas to my collection so I can rank it as well. The ones I have now, I can justify a use for each one...the Junglas though...I have no justification or true use for it at all that I can think of, but it's calling me...just like they all have.
 
I have the Izzy, 3,4 and 6 but getting the Junglas next and waiting on pre ordered Hest/F and maybe more:D, as how to rate them;
#1) RC6
#2) Izzy
#3) RC4
#4) Junglas when it gets here.
#5) Hest/F ??????
#6) RC3
#7) AH1

The only one I own is the 5... however (hopefully) for christmas I will be getting the hest folder... and am gonna order an izula as well...
I just wonder how the izula stands up to the swamp rat warden and other neck knives in its price range...
 
1.Izula because I use it alot.
2. Junglas because it's my new toy. It has the best grip.

I think you'll be really pleased and surprised with the Izula. When I got mine, I wasn't expecting much, but I rely on it now every day. Awesome little knife, couldn't live without it at this point.

You NEED a dedicated choppa and just think of the size 'o blocks you can baton through!!!!! :D
I'm not sure why you would think that you DON'T need it!!!!
