Oh dear...choices!
Spyderco: P'kal, Chinook II, Gayle Bradley CPM-M4, and Yojimbo.
Cold Steel: VG-1 Vaquero Grande.
Now, the P'kal, Chinook II, and Yojimbo are all top-notch fighting folders. As far as I'm concerned they are pretty much perfect for their (all rather distinct) sorts of MBC tactics. I'm in the process of making myself (personal) fixed blade copies of all three of them; a little tweaking, but they are nearly perfect ergonomically.
The Bradley is my favorite utility folder; the one I open mail with.
The Vaquero Grande is sort of like that movie (or girlfriend) you REALLY like - but you'd never intentionally talk to your friends about. Unlike said movie (woman?), however, the Vaquero grande is a frickin' chainsaw at cutting through soft or fibrous material. It can be racked open via inertia in the blink of an eye. It does not weigh much. You could cut down a man in a winter coat faster than you can say 'Jack Robinson.' There's nothing else on the market quite like it.
