Amongst production knives, my top five carry knives are:

Spyderco UKPK-DP-G10
Spyderco Delica 4 FFG/FRN
Queen Canoe
Case Swayback Jack CV
Canal Street Canittler

Honorable Mention, as it is relatively new to my collection, is a Queen-made Moore Maker Stockman.

All production knives right now, but here are my five folders:

1. Benchmade 710 in M2 steel (weekend EDC)
2. Spyderco Stretch 2 (FRN with ZDP-189)
3. Spyderco Paramilitary (original model modified for tip up carry)
4. SAK Alox Cadet (work EDC)
5. Al Mar Sere 2000

Honorable mention goes to my Benchmade 730 Ares.

That was actually harder to do than I thought it would be. :) Many good knives that didn't make my list.

spyderco PE matriarch
spyderco zdp stretch2
spyderco Paramilitary 1 or 2
spyderco Gayle bradley
kershaw jyd2 Ti framelock sg2.

will change hourly..:o

I almost always just carry a small Buck Vantage select or Sanrenmu 710 because they are easily replaced. However, I get the urge to carry a nicer knife every once in awhile.

My top five, which I only carry occasionally...
1. Buck Vantage Pro (small and large sizes)
2. Kershaw JYDII CB
3. Kershaw Leek CB
4. Kershaw Skyline
5. Spyderco Tenacious

Next five that I would like to purchase:
1. Kershaw Rake CB
2. ZT 350CB
3. ZT 551
4. Benchmade 950 Rift
5. HK/Benchmade 14205

I have been on a big Kershaw kick lately, the ones with composite blades in particular.

is it just me or is the left-most strider smaller than the other strider?

I believe that what you are seeing is some perspective distortion from the camera lens, black objects seeming smaller than they really are, and if you run a line under all of the handles, you will see that the first knife is in fact lower than the one beside it.

1. Spydie Para 2
2. BM limited edition mini-barrage with G10
3. Spydie Sage 3
4. Emmerson CQC7A
5. BM mini bone collector

My Top 5 folders:

Rick Hinderer 3 1/2 XM-18
Strider FMS (S30V)
Spyderco Gayle Bradley (CPM-M4)
Zero Tolerance 350
Spyderco Sage with carbon fiber handles (S30V)

Top 5 =

Spyderco Sage CF-PE
Bradley Alias II
Benchmade 551BKODD2
Kershaw Blackout
Spyderco Centofante 3

I didn't know we were doing a next five we want to purchase list as well. That's tough. Maybe something like this.

1. ZT0551
2. Tim Galyean Pro Series Lahar
3. Yuna Assassin
4. Les George FM-1
5. Burnley Ibis

Best?
1 - Spyderco Gayle Bradley - best work knife I've ever had
2 - SAK Swisschamp
3 - CRK Umnumzaan
4 - BM 710 (may be dethroned if I get a Krein regrind on my 760 LFTi)
5 - Spyderco Stretch II

What I'd like?
1 - custom Gayle Bradley with CPM M4
2 - Gold Class BM 710
3 - William Henry Kestrel
4 - BM 42 (maybe I'll get one when I leave Californica)
5 - another custom Gayle Bradley chopper

My choices are based on my tastes now, in the early 80's I carried a Case Lg Sod Buster and Buck 110 on duty and after that a Spyderco Police and Endura, then a Cold Steel Recon 1 first Gen and all performed equally well.

*1) CRK Umnumzaan
*2) CRK Large Sebenza 21
*3) Crusader Forge VIS 01 T
*4) Emerson CQC 12
*5) Emerson CQC 7/ Super 7 ( I have carried one or the other on duty since 1999)

If I could choose more a ZT 300, ZT 200, BM 755MPR, Strider SMF, would also be listed. Ahh I hate these threads. Choices, Choices Choices.
