Rattling FK sheath and Sagewood Dangler

Just the bridge? Pshaw, if that's all you want then it is going in the mail tomorrow, Casino!

I think that's all be needing to adapt it to the FK, or am I not correct in that assumption? I already have one full extra UKE 2.0 set for one of the GSOs which I haven't used.

So i had a belt sheath on order from Sagewood for my 4.7, about 7weeks in i changed my order to the fk. We'll see how quick it comes.

And here is a sot of HK himself! (thanks for being the guinea pig and sending the pics  )

Two scoops please! That's why I'm going with the 4:30 carry, ha!

I find it's easier for my arm to get to, and less in the way. I like it better all around. I don't like 3:00 for anything really. Maybe a specific sport shooting application, that is about it. That is why I like the D ring on Sagewoods, helps the sheath find downwards when you crouch, kneel etc.

Ya, for sure. If you're on your feet it's a good carry. If I'm packing a rifle on a sling I carry leftie, but other than that somewhere around 4:00 just works. Your sagewood looks good too bud, they definitely make a nice product.

They do, Chiral does as well. Lots of options for different people here. It's good.

We will have to see if any leather makers come into the Sub. As much as I like me some Sagewood, the now 8-10 week wait is going to push some people out of the market for one.

IMO there is lots of room for sheath makers in the CPK world, I am not really happen with any of the sheaths I have. Out of probably 12+ in kydex, MAYBE 2 now have no rattle, and the majority of the rest of my CPK collection is in Spec-ops, half of which are damaging the knives.

I don't have any of his for CPKs (I think it was donscpoo who is getting a LC sheath). But I've got a lot of his kydex work for Bussekin. He builds a no nonsense, tough as nails kydex sheath. I've never had rattle in anything from Eric, and the draw/resheathing is absolutely perfect IMO. CLICK! I know you've been talking leather earlier, but if you have any need for pancake-style kydex, you owe it to yourself to try him sometime.

Hmm, I will look up some threads tomorrow to see who was talking about having him do an FK and see what came of it. How are the edges done?

Thanks Brother!

Edit: Looked it up but doesn't seem to have gone anywhere. Mashed Cat site is down now. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow.

Justin, Mashed Cat kydex sheath is one of the best out there. I send almost all my knives to see Eric for a custom sheath before I send them home. S!K sheath is of very similar quality to Eric's work so they don't need to see him [emoji16].

I piggyback the FK on the LC Mashed Cat sheath via the leg strap.

A closer look at the sheaths.

How the FK sheath is secured to the Mashed Cat sheath.

Note the side of the FK sheath compared to the Mashed Cat sheath. You can hardly see the how the 2 kydex are sandwiched together. This is what HK was referring too. The Mashed Cat sheath always lock with a loud and secure CLICK.

BTW, you should be able to fix the rattling on the FK sheath via a hair dryer or heat gun. My FK sheath came a little loose too. I heated the opening of the sheath via the hair dryer and press it with the knife in it to fix the issue. It's much secure now.

Nice setup Don

Did you request the slot from Eric for the LC sheath? This makes me think an EDC piggybacked to an LC would be ideal.
