The only reason I haven't got a Ray Laconio is because someone in customs would pinch it. If I ever go to the states, Ray can expect a call from me![]()
Thanks for posting the pictures and thanks to everyone for the kind words. I need to come up with a name for this model. At first I wasn't sure Mr. Clean wanted a swedge because the original of this design didn't have one. I asked him and he said yes. I added the swedge after the knife was already done and those pictures were taken. Here's a picture of the knife with the swedge (it's the top knife). The middle and bottom knives are linerlocks.

DOH! I thought I read 154CM CPM154 makes me even more happy! Well, I own of each of those guys' knives and yours is definitely in the rotation, hell it's with me today. Even just that says a lot but line the knives up side by side and you can draw a lot of comparisons in the quality, functionality, and fit and finish areas. Thanks again Mike! BTW, the blade steel is CPM154, not 154cm. They're not exactly the same.
I just read this entire thread and I'm feeling really good right now. You put me in the same sentence as RJ Martin, DDR, and CRK. Also Ken Erickson just made a nice comment. I'm not worthy. These guys are some of my knifemaking heroes

No, no ya don't! That takes all the fun out of getting a custom handmade piece especially at a price point where Ray puts his knives.I wish production companies made readily available, simple, well executed designs like this. Beautiful work!
Well, look at it this way, if you PM him now your knife will be ready by the time you recovered!!Once I recover a little from my Umnumzaan, Ray is getting a phone call or email from me.
