Ray Laconico - Framelock

That is a fine looking knife...I am getting an itch for a new custom and that knife has really caught my eye.

Yes, Ray makes a very nice folder (and fixed blade). You will not be disappointed. Mine (linerlock) is a lot smoother than my Sebenza.

That's a beauty you have there Mr. Clean, looks similar to mine, you can tell they're siblings
;)

Ray was kind enough to put together this all Ti version I requested. I have to say, this
folder is pefect for me, just how I hoped it would be when I put in the order.

I'm honored to have my knife sitting next to those guys!
It deserves to be there ;)

That is sweet Russ! I love the orange back spacer! I was actually thinking about that style instead of the one I picked out. I love the utilitarian look and feel of mine.

After a few days of pocket carry and use, and the newness has worn off I still wouldn't change any of my intial impressions. The opening/closing is very fluid and smooth. I did rub some pencil lead on the spot where the blade and lock face meet to smooth that out. I still think the amount of contact the blade and lock face has is the most I've seen.

I was thinking maybe I'd want jimping on the thumb ramp and where your forefinger goes but really it's not necessary and may add too much clutter to such a clean knife. It has a very solid grip to it. So, nothing to change, nothing to complain about!

I agree that jimping would probably detract something from the simple, clean aspect
these knives have and like you mentioned it isn't really needed in the first place for most everyday uses.

Saying that, yours does look more controllable than mine. With it's thumbramp and finger grooves you'll be able to grip down a little better when it comes down to serious cutting.

It's nice to have a variety, I hope Ray builds more of these :)
