RazorSharpUnlimited... Poor Experience as a Seller

ROb untrue. I read the ad, here it is below. Clearly states zytel handle

This is a knife that most Sebenza's collectors will know. If you don't know it, back in late 90's after the success of the Sebenza, CRK knives tried a trial run of Zytel Sebenzas for the everiyday person to be able to afford. Production was to be carried out by CRKT. After the knife was made and it was no where near the caliber that Mr. Reeve requires of his knives , he made CRKT scrap the project. Some of the knives made it out of the way of harms way via sales reps who held onto the knives as collectors and momentos. This is one of those knives.

Please only bid on this knife if you understand that it is a history, (though better forgotten) of the Sebenza from CRK. It is in no way a good functional knife. There is a reason Mr. Reeve didn't let this knife go to the masses and he was 100% correct. It's only attribute is that it is very sharp.

I will say it does read more like a history lesson rather than a description of a product. Regardless, the point is moot. If a buyer had read what's in bold and expected anything other than a hunk of junk then that is their own doing.

(My opinion is based on what was in this thread as I could not find the ad in question.)

My bad, the listing does mention zytel. Missed it the first time. Thanks for setting me straight.

I can't find the ad either... but reading what was written, it seems to me that he explained what needed to be explained and the guy should not have freaked out about it.

FroOchie should have been in the clear on this without doubt but as has been repeatedly stated,PayPal is a buyers friend only.

It is also very unfortunate that a seller cannot leave feedback for a buyer these days.

I see no deception whatsoever on the sellers end.

Perhaps going here might help:

http://www.paypalsucks.com/

I'd fight it to the bitter end.

If that 1 negative ebay feedback came from this fellow in tampa...man he really hurt your feedback percentage. Cant say id be very happy about that myself. Seems this dispute has hurt both of y'all. Too bad damage is done and cant be sorted out now.

for the record im a dumb old florida boy and even I understood the listing. Very dishonest in my opinion to pretend one didnt know what they were getting.

I have to stand up for Fro on this one. Sorry you had to deal with this guy "dave". However, appreciated you bringing this up to the BF crowd and then "dave" managed to further expose himself and put the icing on the cake! ;)

It's sad to see such unprofessional behavior from an actual brick-and-mortar knife store. It's not even a pawn shop with a knife case. I looked on google street view and there's a big "Razor Sharp Unlimited" sign out front.

I goggled it too - intersting to say the least.

Certainly a person I would avoid dealing with.

How is what RazorSharpUnlimited posted as feedback "Very disgruntled person likes putting your business out there to air public" pertinent to the eBay user feedback system? I understand eBay/PayPal tend to side with the buyer, but if there is a way I would contest that and see if it could be removed.

Will never do business with them. Mr. Welk of KAI was very interested when he learned of his price gouging for a pre order spot for the 0888 on eBay.

For Razor Sharp Unlimited (as a Knife Dealer) to open up a fraud case of the Sale, with the Knife Description quite clear is amazing.

This speaks volumes on the Ethics of Razor Sharp.

Thanks everyone who read and chimed in whether you were for or against me. Though I felt I was clear as possible, I'm glad many of the rest of you reiterated the same . Whether you did agree with me or not however, my job is done if even one more person is aware that this business is out there and playing the innocent while pretending to be ripped off. Though I'm insulted I will be fine. For his business however; I hope it changes for everyone else in the future. If not, his practices will eventually catch up to him.

It is amazing that these guys don't understand the impact that their actions and comments have on prospective customers. After reading what I have read in this thread, I wouldn't touch this retailer with a 10 foot pole. It just isn't worth the risk nor the hassle that a retailer with this attitude would present should a problem occur.

So simple to handle problems professionally and with tact which equates to increased business from good word of mouth. Just not smart business to behave like this guy. Like MMAR states above, "Yet another dealer to cross off my list." Indeed.

This is very true. The bigger truth of the matter is guys like the owner of RazorSharp take for granted how small a community like this is. We can all disagree like gentleman but at the end of the day you can't build a business on screwing people over. Him taking advantage of me and then acting as if it was the tables that were turned will get around. Him coming into this thread pretending he was someone else will stay around. A business like that will do itself more harm than I ever could. But for his sake and ours I hope in the future he remembers this and treats the community better next time.

It is my understanding that any negative feedback on eBay can be removed... For a small fee, very small if you are a power seller! Just another reason I don't do eBay.
