RC3/Rc4 maxpedition pygamy falconII

Thought that bag looked familiar! Very nice setup. Here's a couple pics of my inverted carry setup for my Blind Horse Knives Bushcrafter and a Small Work Horse from the same company.

I've gotta get in on this thread just for general purposes. Here is my Falcon 2 and contents layed out. I've changed supplies since this picture. I'll have to do a new one with the latest upgrades one day. I also have a jumbo, and a Malaga. I don't use the jumbo anymore, it's just to small. The Malaga is the EDC for my gear. I'd rather have the PF2, but I'll wait.

That is a pretty serious setup. Anybody have an opinion on how the falcon II compares to the Condor II or to the pygmy falcon? On Maxpedition's site, they show the Condor has a nice place to store a handgun. Anyone know if the pygmy falcon or the falcon II have the same feature? I'll probably use it mostly for day hikes, hunting, kayaking, and a general truck bag. I dont have alot of the survival gear that is mentioned on some of these posts but I do plan to increase the amount of tools/toys that I bring along. After being on this site for the past couple months, I've slowly realized I need to be a little bit better prepared when I wander out.

I had a whole thing detailing the differences, but come to find out I was thinking of the wrong bag.

Definately look prepared for what cometh wayward. Question. On the RC-4 on the front of the pack. Is that a firesteel holder thats screwed onto the kydex sheath? If so, where did you locate that slick setup?

I have a firesteel and a small Gerber multi-tool on the sheath of my Busse. I'm thinking I'm going to have the guy who made this sheath make me one for my RC-4.

I have a condor 2 and I wouldn't put a gun in the concealled carry/hydration pocket. It would seriously poke you in the back, especially if your pack is loaded up with other gear.

True, but for the same bag half full being EDC carried it works nicely. If you're not going to use Maxpeditions Velcro holster setup it would probably be wise to let the pistol ride ALONE so nothing rubs the firearms finish or trigger.

Holy hell dude - that's a lot of gear on that thing. Where ya goin'?

"The Mall" :D :D :D

Seriously I don't have a Max Pack, I use a standard US Army 3 day assault pack, but it is in my car at all times. You don't really have to be traveling too far from home to maybe need to get back home the hard way.

Have to admit, it is a very sexy setup.
