huh it looks like it has a huge swedge on it! it looks like the RC4 got a swedge too.

Why would a swedge be added to RAT's blades?

If sharpened, I suppose it offers a tactical advantage. Does this mean that the RC4 and RC6 will have different versions, like the RC3MIL?

that looks niice.

It does look pretty and i was kinda bummed out at first since i just got my RC-4. But the swedge version is probably geared towards military personnel and hunters, where the original is more of an outdoors knife.

are those swedges sharpened? it looks like it in the pics mushy put up.

Looks like it too me.

I remember Jeff saying that they were at the request of tactical-type personnel. I suppose the swedged RC-6 would make a decent boar knife, but other than that I can't think of any non-tactical uses for it. It sure looks cool though. :)

collecting?

and does zombie slaying count? :D

unless I was gearing up for combat a sharpened swedge on an outdoor knife has no use for me. Can't choke up safely, cutting through batons.

I can't think of a single hunter I have known that would want a double edged blade for skinning and cutting meat.

As long as they are offered with both blade designs they will appeal to even more folks,

good marketingto each their own.

That does look pretty cool. As others have said that looks more like a fighting knife then a outdoors knife. Nice design though!

Good for zoomies but a little hard on battoning. Looks like it would make sticks out of your club.
