RC6 different blade design?

Ya same but i would love it if i could go into a store and get a feel for all there knives

yeah i am lucky to live by some nice ones. they stock spydies CRK strider BM so i can usually handle stuff. but not RAT's :D

anyone know if the swedge is as hard as cutting edge. it would be nice if the swedge could be sharpened.

Well so far RAT knives have not used a differential heat treat, so if these are the same they should sharpen up fine. Someone tell me if I am wrong.

i think you are right. and in the pics the swedge was sharpened

Check your state's laws about double-edged knives if you're thinking of getting one. Where I am it's fine, but just over the border it's a felony.

An unsharpened swedge does not constitute a double edged knife.

That is why "Clip point" knives like a Ka-Bar USMC are legal most places that a Bowie knife isn't. Clip point denotes an unsharpened false edge, while Bowie has the edge sharpened.

I'm glad my state has only one knife related law! and it says nothing about a sharpened swedge, which makes for a happy KA-BAR.

The swedges were in fact sharpened. I handled them myself. They look EXTREMELY cool but I think I'll stay with the original design for my purposes.
