Re-defining the brick

I'm just sad I didn't make it first. :(
I had thought of making something like that as a joke, but I waited too long.

I can't really use 2 inch thick stock, because it wouldn't look like a knife/wedge at all. Even as a joke it would flop.
So sadly, I must give a tip of the hat to the person who beat me to the joke. ;)

What about 2" stock with a really really really deep hollow grind?

Sweet ! I sure hope they is a folder so I's can baton it !o_O

But is this really a" hard use " knife ? Need proof test .

Another member and I had some fun with this in another place on the Internet, so I started sketching, and came up with something.

Over to the left of the first drawing is a point-on view. I was able to get the bevels to 12.5 degrees per side, which is still axe territory, but with a zero bevel, it has a chance of cutting.

I don't mean to insult Kornalski, either. I'm wondering if he did this just to see if he could. In the same spirit of "let's see what happens", I tried to get the bevel angles lower. Turns out, it can be done, but the blade ends up being three inches wide.

Oh well.
