Ready for the show

On those knife kit folders how is the blade quality?

The razor heads come from the turning supplier. My favorite wood for the handles is ringed gidgee.

Some of the folders are Knifekits.com frames with new blades I make, and on the more basic ones, I use the supplied blades. I re-work them, often changing the shape of the frame, and file work the blades and liners. The supplied blades are Rc58 and hold up well.
On the ones where I just use the liners, I sometimes make blades from W2, and other times use damascus. By using the pre-cut parts, I can make a quality knife for a lower price. Full handmade folders run $350-600 and ones with commercial liners and parts that are heavily customized sell for $150-$350.

The big autos are modified DDR-3 BL series with frame and blade reshaping and springs added. The mini-autos are SS-2.0 series with the same modifications. I usually use mammoth for the scales. Depending on the scale materials and other mods, the price ranges from $125 to $350.

That is a good idea. I think I will pick one up and make a blade for it as well.
