Real excited about the new BCCI 110!!

I came here looking for this post, after I got my newsletter...

I just crack up at you droppies :D

Does the unlimited offer mean Buck has made a very large run of these DP blades and that other offerings will be coming with the mid-year releases?
c) Or will the DP be a CS option?

Good questions. I was thinking that Buck would make the number of blades based on the size of the order, allowing for some extras. But perhaps it will be a Custom Shop offering in the near future, or some other offerings are coming up.

Time to get off my can and get a membership. I really like the user concept in addition to collectors grade stuff; very nice to have options and best of both worlds

Is that a Paul Bos stamped blade?

Ima, Thats a good question . You know Mr. Bos is already retired from Buck .
The flames may have left with him . The next guy may desire a new emblem but may have some dues to pay before winning his spurs . Not sure how they work it . DM ;)

IMO Buck will not run these 110s until after all orders are turned in. So I would doubt it will be a CS option. I would hope they will only be available to BCCI members.

Longbow I think your right about Buck running the knives after the orders are in. Form say orders due mid-August with end of year delivery.

One can only hope they expand the Custom Shop options some so we can start ordering some more knives.

I do not know if Paul Bos or Buck Inc owns the Bos and flame stamp. Buck seems to have made it almost a brand all by itself. My guess if there are not any copyright issues with the stamp and Buck continues to use the Bos recipes then they'll likely continue with the stamp.

Maybe some of the Buck Inc folks will educate us on this issue.

I would guess since these knives are available June 8th and Mr Bos retired June 1, he would have still been working when the blades were produce. That would be cool if these were the last of the blades he was officially in charge of. Those would be true collectors:thumbup: Of course I have to get off my rear end like puncher and join.

Fritz,

I just assumed you were a club member. I actually can't believe you're not a member of the club given your Buck Fever uh, I mean enthusiasm!!

Just do it and do the life membership, you won't regret the $100 at all. As you have seen a lot of really desireable knives come out every year at discounted prices verses the street.

I know you want that S30V droppoint barehead for $80:cool:

It's worth asking if there is still a knife included in the life deal. I got a nice 532 when I did the life membership a few years back.

I know Flat, everytime I look to pull the trigger, the fever gets the better of me and I buy a knife instead. I cant seem to convince the wife of the benefits and I figger when I join, some big packet will come in and all of a sudden I got a fight on my hands. Granted its a fight worth fighting and I will, its just a matter of choosing time and battlefield.

Ohen, thanks for that, I will. I had heard a knife was part of the deal but wasnt sure if it was still part of it. Any of you newer members know? I just sent an email to the club to check.

I just got my check and order form for three of the Paperstone models ready to mail this morning. I think $80 for a Buck LE 110 of any kind is a good deal!

imafritz, when I joined the BCCI as a lifetime member earlier this year there was no free knife. I think they have run out of the 532s a while back.

What I got was a member discount card and a listing of annual members knives from past few years which are still available. Those are selling out fast, btw.

When I joined in (I believe) 2007, there wasn't any knife included in the membership. Just some great deals on rare and collectible knives, plus a few lifetimes worth of knowledge :D

Post, When I joined several yrs. before that I got what Wolf mentioned a discount card and no knife . Which was fine with me as I'm not a 532 fan and its still been worth it . Seems like somebody may have wrote asking if I wanted it and I told them no . Anyway, I sent in my order for the drop point 110 yesterday, the day after I recieved my newsletter . My wife knew I wanted it and said, it can be for your birthday which falls in Dec.. So, 'hot tamale' my names in the hat for one . I've also, noticed while using my wife's paperstone kitchen cutlery set that the handle material sticks well in my hand, about like micarta . Another plus for this knife . Man, I can hardly wait to put this knife to use . I'll have to save back some deer meat for processing and use this knife when it arrives . DM

Its going to be a looonngg wait for december this year! :D You make that paperstone sound even better now!!!

I forgot too David, I got my lifetime membership card, but no discount card. It was definately worth it anyway.

The 2 best lifetime memberships I ever got...

#1 BCCI
#2 NRA
