Really impressed with zero tolerance

I have flippers costing alot more, but I can't honestly say that I like them any better than the 0562.

The 0640 runs on PB washers as well. It’s a nice knife and I can see why it’s got a solid fan base.

My 0850 can be shaken out, but it needs to be done purposefully. The detent is strong enough that it flicks open nicely and I’m not concerned about unwanted pocket openings, etc. I just assumed it was a consequence of a relatively heavy blade. If you do send yours in, I'd be interested in knowing what comes of it.

I'll definitely post about it. I've had multiple positive CS experiences with both ZT and Kershaw, with only one negative. And that one negative happened to be my 0561 sent it with zero detent. It was returned untouched with no explanation.

My bad I forgot 0850 (maybe because that knife never visually attracted me). On the strength of detent, I hate too light detent. Sometimes bending the lockbar can help, although you would have to do it carefully and gradually.

I thought about a lockbar tweak. But since it's a sub-frame that's screwed only into unlined CF, not sure I feel that confident.

Speaking of the 0850, I wouldn't say mine is any smoother than anything I've got from Benchmade or Spyderco. If I tighten the pivot a little more so it won't drop shut, then it's easily the unsmoothest knife I have. Do you know when leaf springs wind-up and cause wheel hop? That's what my 0850 feels like when opening and closing it with a tighter pivot: juddery. I can also shake mine out quite easily, and the lock walks a significant amount when cutting things.

All said, I do like my ZT's a lot (yes, that includes the 0850). Out of all my ZT's, Benchmade's and Spyderco's, I've had the least amount of problems with ZT.

I just wish I got into ZT's earlier and didn't miss out of the 0392 and 0804.

Only have two now but have had 20 or so. They make great knives and I agree of all the brands I have bought; the least issues. Here’s hoping they start making the limited high end ones again. Would love to see one a year - like the old 392, 777, 888, 999, etc. Then I might start buying them again.

I only have one but I don't see that changing anytime soon as ZT's up here are getting scarcer than hen's teeth. Also, as expensive as Benchmade's are, the price for ZT is stratospheric. Oh well, when you are a pauper...
