I was dicking around with my spyderco dragonfly today and I noticed it has a really loud "clack" for such a tiny lockback. It got me thinking of all my other knifes and how loud they are when the lock up. I love when they have a decisive snap!

What are your loudest knives you own? and do you appreciate that feature (or defect depending on your perspective)?

Tenacious. For some reason, maybe my grip while opening, I get a definitely loud "snick" when I open it.

Any of the smaller bladed assisted opening Kershaws make quite a racket as well.

my bm42 and spyderfly are probably the loudest I own. maybe my Nathan Dewey custom, G10 and 440c have an interesting ring

the spyderco Navaja is also pretty loud but that's because of the ratcheting sound it makes as it opens rather than its actual lockup

If you asked me 2 yrs ago, I would have said my Microtech Halo V. Boy do I miss it.

My old Timberline Discovery. When you close it the cam system resets and sounds just like hitting the slide release on a 1911, I love it!

My Gunhammer Torpedo is by far the hardest firing assisted opener and it makes a really loud thunk when the blade stops do their job.

My Spyderco Tenacious and my Cold Steel Mini AK-47 are pretty loud. No matter if theyre waved or opened slowly. they just "boom"

Tenacious. Then it got louder after I made a set of bamboo scales for it. It felt like the sound resonated through the wood differently than the G10. I have some denser wood handles on it now and it is a little bit quieter.

Triad Ak47 and Recon 1. Most of my frame locks are loud except the Umnumzaan.
