Hi OP,
Buy it only after you've answered, "No," to these two questions:
1. Do you expect it to be better at cutting things than your current folder?
Most people who are disappointed after buying a high-end folder are really just disillusioned; they thought the knife was going to change their lives. It won't; it's just a knife, and it actually won't do anything that your $100 Spyderco--or hell, your $20 Buck--can't do. But if you have handled enough knives that you truly can appreciate the fit, finish and quality of a high-end folder, then by all means go ahead. Most of us can't truly appreciate the quality difference. I know I can't, which is why I don't have one.
2. Is $500 a serious, serious amount of money to you?
I don't mean, "do you have the money in your bank right at this moment?" Most people, even poor people, will eventually have $500 in their bank account on payday. I mean... can you actually afford it? If you can't, then don't buy it. IMHO, there are too many threads on BF and other knife forums involving some guy who went broke and then promptly wants to sell off his collection of expensive knives (at huge losses, usually)... WTF? Why are people that close to the brink buying high-end knives in the first place? Don't be that guy. There are too many of those guys on these forums already.
Answered, "No," to both? Pull the trigger and enjoy the knife.
