Reasons Why I Shouldn’t Get A Svord Micro Peasant With Titanium Scales UPDATED - PICS ADDED

I have a few large and small Svords(in both plastic and wood handle), but the Titanium keychain one is definitely my least favorite one.

Unlike it's larger siblings, the blade don't really 'wedge' into the handle(like a real friction folder), and I have to either tighten the pivot screw really tight(so it won't accidentally open) or carry it with a sheath. Also, the ultra thin handle is totally not user friendly, a pretty far cry from the original design.

Personally, I would much rather to stick with a small Svord or a small SAK, YMMV.
this is honestly good to know bc i was eyeing one after seeing them here, thanks. i'll wait to get a standard wood handled one someday, they're too cool and cheap not to at least give one a shot

I’m assuming the copper & brass scales present the same issues, no?

I've had zero problems with my copper version opening up at the wrong time. As I implied earlier, it's super easy to dial in the friction with your thumbnail to just the right sweet spot.

If I had to skin a moose or fend off angry zombies, this might not be my first choice. But for suburban lightweight EDC, it's hard to beat.

By all means, I think those wooden small Svord are pretty handy and the value is decent.

I only have the Ti handle one, so I can't honestly speak for the copper. It probably is just personal preference--many friction folders from other brands don't wedge the blades into the bodies, and their users are fine with them. But after using the small and large Svords, I just prefer them that way.

The smallest Peasant has the thin metal handles which are a minus. They were discontinued in the other sizes in favor of the kit.

I'm trying to shrink my collection at this stage of life, but I would buy a micro if they did a wood handled version.

I got the copper scales and replaced them with aluminum some years back.

Sorry, I know this thread is a little old.
But was googling looking for a svord peasant in titanium and this thread popped up.
Can anyone share with me as to where to find/get one?
Thank you

Welcome!

Probably going to be hard to find.

You may be able to find a kit though.

It seems like it will be hard to find. Never fails, I am always late to the party :/ . I seem to have the luck of looking for something specific a day late.
Kit? I am super new to EDC and knives in general. Where does one find a kit?

Again thank you :)

Lots of copper & brass on eBay. 🤷‍♂️

I seen that copper and brass was readily available.
And since I am just starting out my edc items (cheap, budget type really), I already have a Ti light coming in and was wanting to match lol.
Guess I should've gotten a copper or brass light, but Ti is so nice (& can be anodized).
