Hi guys, here are some brief introduction of Horizon-C

Compared with Horizon-A&B, Horizon-C has a straight and fluted blade instead of recurve. We use flat grinding instead of hollow grinding, which makes the blade stronger. The process of blade surface finishing, the satin finishing, the brushing of the upper part and finely honing of the flute are all done by hand. The line on handle beautifully matches the flute on blade when flipping open. Handle was black stone washed, the contrast of black and white is a shining point of this knife.

That is what the Horizon was meant to look like. Just about all of the ideas I have read from us users. You took to heart and added it,
Way to go. That is a home run.

Now let’s take a look to the small parts. All screws were newly custom made for Reate, all stainless steel and high strength with smooth and bright surface. The pillars were upgraded to 6AL4V titanium with golden anodizing.

Now let’s see the inside. We make important changes for the inside structure.

1. Ball Bearing System

As for the most important part of the knife, we constantly strive for better. In Horizon-C, we use the newly developed multi-row ball bearing, 36 beads, and of curse still black ceramic beads, high-strength and never get rusty. And it is no need to talk about the advantage of multi-row ball bearing, you know it.

There is a stainless steel washer between the handle and the bearing. The washer could get old and worn after long time use. When you think it is too old you can turn the other side up and put it back, it will last as a new one. We add 2 stainless steel washers for spare parts which go with every Horizon-C sold. So no worry about worn washers anymore.

Nice! Hope you do a passaround. I've participated in the ones for the Hills, Horizon A and B, and am next in line for the D9, so I need to handle this one as well so I can make up my mind as to which I will get first!

Hot damn, sign me up. Do you have an estimate for when it will be available?

Very nice. I do hope one day you guys do something with the pivots. To me that is the only area that could use some flair to it. And I would love it if you would offer a custom pivot as an aftermarket add on. Love the new design though.

We try to post more photos and info here but somehow failed due to the server problem...more photos you can check out Reateknives on instagram. For sales info, you can send mail to sales@reateknives.com or PM to us.

Im so sold on this its not even funny. the second I saw that picture I was done ! You are 4 for 4 ; I don't know how you do it, but whatever it is keep on going. Cant wait for this one.

That's flat out gorgeous. Practical and clean with subtle decorative touches. The way the lines flow through the handle and onto the blade when it's open is just about perfect. You may just have forced me to open my wallet.

For a brand that only has 5 knives (at the moment) to it's name, that's pretty high praise. :D

That's a beautiful knife. It's VERY refreshing to see a Chinese company with original designs and high quality materials.
