Received today: ZT 0566

I scored one off the bay for a price I won't disclose because I don't need death threats. Needless to say, I'm checking the tracking on the hour out of what can only be described as pure and unadulterated excitement.

Blade stock looks to be about 3/32" (0.09") thick, and the overall knife is about 5/16" (0.31"). Contrast that to the 0560, which looks like it has a 3.5mm (0.14") blade stock and is 17/32" (0.53") overall.
 
Biggest Gripe about this knife is that is it not a titanium frame lock it is a steel frame lock

That probably knocked a good chunk off the price, and also should make the handle a little more scratch resistant. Good tradeoff for the additional heft, IMO.

If this size as as successful as I think it's going to be, the future versions will have the specs you're looking for. In the meantime, the Kershaw Thermite would be an excellent compromise without breaking the bank.
 
Got an email from Newgrahm saying there was an error, so even though their site said in stock, they are out and I'll have to wait for the next batch to come in. A little disappointed right now since I canceled my other pre-order.
 
I hate when they dont update their sites and screw people over.....I always call to ask if knife is really in stock before i order, its what i did today for 0566
 
Got mine today from BladeHQ. Very happy with it, I had a 0561 before and it was just too big for EDC. The 0566 was sharp out of the box, a couple passes on the strop and its perfect. Serial is 0386, was expecting a higher number since an earlier poster said his from BladeHQ was number 1135. I guess ZT is mixing up the numbers when they ship?
 
Ordered mine yesterday, they still had 8 in stock this afternoon. I too wish they had used titanium liners.

I hate it when they do this too.
 
I too got burned by New Graham. And I had cancelled my existing pre-orders with BHQ and KC. Ugh.
