Recommend a 2.5"?

The Dragonfly is an EDC MVP. It's so easy to carry that I often forget I'm carrying it! I have a few and one of them lives in a pocket in my favorite jacket.

BTW, I prefer the Wharncliffe version. Here is mine next to what a large pileated woodpecker did to my stump.

I have that knife, but in K390. I like it now, but found it hard to use without slicing off my fingertips until Gary W. Graley Gary W. Graley made me a nice stiff lanyard to extend the grip. If I had it to do over I'd buy a Delica, but that blade's a little too long for your specs. I've never owned a Native (yet), but it's on my list of small knives I'd like to own.

Gary W. Graley Gary W. Graley knows what he is doing with those. He made me one for a fixed blade.

I don't need one here. I've actually been surprised that such a small knife can work so well for my large hand and long fingers. (Coincidentally, it is the only Spyderco knife where the finger groove actually works for me.) I wrap my first finger around the groove so it rests between the final two knuckles, put my thumb against the ramp, and pinch it, wrapping my other three fingers around the handle such that my finger tips are just able to get around the back. The curve and contours let me hold it mostly in my fingers with plenty of control and maneuverability.

Blade restrictions suck, but my current place of employment has a 2.5” blade restriction, but I’ve only been “checked” twice with a ruler and were pretty liberal about out. My Kizer flipper is just under 3” and they let it go. My Emerson CQC14 is large with a 2.6” blade, they let it pass (and laughed). Most of my others are right at or under 2.5”. I really prefer Spyderco as they have several excellent options.
