Recommend a folder for millitary use

+1 on the ZT0200. My friend has one; I fell in love with it. I love the look and feel of that knife. The styling just sings to me and the grip is superb. As far as functionality, 154CM speaks for itself I think. Liner lock seemed secure enough to me. If I wasn't trying to pace myself financially at the moment, I'd get one instead of the spydie I'm looking to get. I still don't know if I want a blade that long for EDC around sheeple (aside from the weight consideration - more than double than that of Endura), but for deployment I'd say it's a decent knife.
+2 on the ZT 0200.

Benchmade-Stryker Tanto is what I carry in combat, Spyderco is razor shape but hard to keep that way in the field & is too narrow at the tip if you have to jab through metal or glass. There are many Tanto bladed knives that are great for combat but I personally would stay w/ an American or Swedish maker. I have also carried a Damascus Bear & Sons small fixed blade tanto that stayed sharp for nearly a whole 14 month tour in the sand & the Damascus doesn't reflect nearly as bad as a stainless blade. Also MOD makes some great combat folders.

I forgot to mention Emersons. Plenty of great ones there that fit the budget. Out of the Emerson line up in that budget, I like:

Horseman
7b/a
14
13
11
15

Swede, do you have one of the Older Enduras? because the new Endura 4 has a lot thicker of a tip, and could definitely go through glass. I wouldn't hesitate it to use it on metal either.

Here in Norway infantry are issued a fixed blade (bayonet/prybar) so a folder is nice to use for the somewhat lighter work.

They are also easy to carry when not in full kit (body armour ++)

Many people have their fixed blade attached to their webbing/body armour/vest. So a folder is a nice addition.

I would have loved to have a Millie when I was in the infantry. Very light for it's size and cuts extremely well.

The Endura is also a great carry folder.
