Hi there!
Looking for a self defense, reasonably-trainable (not master level) push/karambit/dagger with a NICE SHEATH that feels great.
preferably Camo.

I am looking at the Benchmade SOCP, because I can't find any decent push blades in stock anywhere unless you point me (USA)
Maximum 120$ .

Thanks for suggestions!

Yea I guess you're right, my top preference is that it could be used in a fist-push form, that way it would need the least training hours

No reason to let them get close enought to need a dagger imo.. I'd recommend something more distance/crowd control oriented. Something like the Milkor MGL 🤣

In all seriousness, I wouldn't spend a ton on a dagger, and I would prioritize something with a good grip that's easy to keep ahold of.

I've got a CS Counter TAC that would be perfectly serviceable, the CS Tai Pan, or Sog Pentagon would also be solid options that wouldn't break the bank.

Haha I bought the Nike first don't worry!

It has to be small to fit even casual clothing as I routinely travel some VERY bad areas.
I have a glock 19x for primary.

ESSE makes a really nice one that's made in the USA. But I wouldn't spend that much money on a push dagger. You only get to use it one time. It's a stab and go item

I have the Benchmade push dagger. No idea what possessed Benchmade to stop making it.

Carried it for years on my belt. Now it's relegated to neck carry for when I'm walking the dogs in gym shorts. The sheath is everything you'd want it to be. The handle isn't too big or fat. 440c steel.

It's worth hunting one down.

This thread belongs in the sub forum above . Might do some reading there .

I'd just get a Cold Steel Push Dagger . They are well designed for fighting /SD . Wide enough blades that can slash as wells stab .

The SOCP is just a stabber , not something I'd carry for SD .

If you want a ring dagger , the Cold Steel Drop Forged Ring Dagger is a good one . Compared to the Cold Steel Boot Dagger (equally good ) :

Are you looking for karambit or push daggers ?
There’s a few small ones on Etsy that look well done with a nice sheath.
Also could ask a custom maker here for what you are looking for ?

I never could understand why people call a karambit a push dagger?. A karambit is a karambit
a push dagger is a push dagger. Just my worthless two cents opinion
Edit the op has purchased a cold steel drop forged push dagger.

Cold Steel is the obvious choice, and they have a bunch of options.

I've had my eye on the DPX HIT dagger, it looks surprisingly nice and comes with a leather sheath that makes it look kind of like an arrowhead pendant. I'm hesitant to get a nice knife for such a narrow application, though, and I can't conceal them since I'm in CA.

The We Knife B.U.D. is also very tempting, really like the styling on it and it would be much more lightweight than the other options out there. The downside is that the actual blade is titanium, so you'll get practically zero edge retention. It does fit the knife's purpose as a one time use defense tool, though.
