Recommend a nicely sheathed push/karambit/dagger?

I never could understand why people call a karambit a push dagger?. A karambit is a karambit
a push dagger is a push dagger. Just my worthless two cents opinion
Edit the op has purchased a cold steel drop forged push dagger.
I am sure they exist. It would look like some sort of bladeded bill hook.

And be pretty useless.

That Glock 19 is going to be a hell of a lot better of an option than a push dagger.
From what I have studied, the push dagger was invented in the southern United States 19th century .. They were used mostly by river boat gamblers. As well as the cowboys of the old West ,They were used by politicians of the day as well. They would carry them into the capital and federal buildings as well. People needed a small concealable weapon. In Louisiana they were called a gimlet. Around 1890 crime and murder was committed by them in New Orleans so often that the push dagger was banned. They were used due to the low reliability of small pistols. They were also used in WW1 for close quarters combat (trench warfare). They were also used in WW2. Today they are popular with police and military as a last resort self defense weapon. This is why I like them. They have historic value in my eyes. Today they are not a primary weapon. To This day,They are still a reliable backup.

Just out of curiosity where are you from drop bear?

FYI his username refers to an inside joke Australians have. They'll tell tourists about an evil cousin to the koalas called "drop bears" that will drop out of the trees and kill anything in sight. It's kind of like the gag car mechanics have of telling problem customers that they need to go get some "blinker fluid" for their car.

Apparently, though, there's a real animal that's been long extinct that kind of resembles the drop bear legend.

I carry one of these in my boot. Kinda thick for stabbing, but it cuts and slashes like crazy.

I could recommend a dozen or more models and makers for a weapon at "master level"....... but below that well,...you're not going to get something that "Feels Good" ....not in Camo anyway, that usually costs extra.

There is a whole clearance knife thing people do now.

I have tried it with airsoft and can never remember the knife is there.

Our army is adopting it. They get their own little dagger. Which look I don't know if it is practical. But it is cool.
Gecko 45 approves! I always have a tanto karambit switchblade with static cord retention on at least three locations on my tactical loadout....to repel random hugs from guys in camo?? I mean it does happen a lot...and not all of 'em are handsome!?

Yeah look. I get that a lot when I show these videos.

But that is like, THE, Australian army guy for that kind of stuff. And if someone was going to give me $700 dagger. I certainly wouldn't refuse it.

I certainly wouldn't either. I would then promptly sell it for something actually worth the money 😄..

I checked the knife out, and I'm assuming since that is an Australian website that $750 is in aussie dollars, which converts to $475 US. No offense, I know Zu Bladeworx makes good stuff, but that is a crazy price for a sharpened peice of A2 with some fancy handle milling.

This is a prime example of crazy price markup just because two big brands (Zu and Kinetic) have their name on it. Plus the whole military contract marketing with "these are what our special force guys use."

I'm sure it's a great knife for its intended purpose, but imo, it doesn't do anything any of the Cold Steel daggers couldn't do for 1/10 of the price.. Just my opinion, ymmv, etc..

Sorry for the rant, that price tag just triggered me 🤣

Try looking into shivworks push daggers
$180dollars no thanks. I could think of 20 knives that I could get for that money that would be a hundred times more useful than a push dagger just my worthless 2cent opinion. Unless you're a collector I guess
