I'm trying to find liner lock or frame lock folders in the 2.5 to 3 inch blade range for left hand carry for 150 or less. I currently have a mini griptilian with awt hive scales but don't like that the scales have square edges and can't seem to find a good set of decent scales. I also have a rat 2 it's nice but don't like the fill of it in my hand. What do you guys think, I also have a few kershaws but want better steel. I do like the 154cm.

Kizer makes a couple of folders that fit your needs. Also it is just a little over 3 inches but the ZT 350 is also a good choice. Good Luck. Kevin 😊

Go with DOAT!!!

If you dont mind using other lock you can try the Cold Steel Mini Recon 1. Blade is ~3 inches CTS-XHP steel. I got mine for less than $75, you should be able to find it in most places for similar price. I think it's a steal considering that it has better steel than a lot of knives twice the price.

You can make a BM mini grip in the custom configuration website with a 20CV blade for $150, but it has to be the glass filled nylon handle, not G10. Still a great knife and steel! or you can go cheaper if you choose a different steel. I went with a coated M4 mini grip, my first manual open knife from BM... not too bad at all!!! Great knife!

Mini-Grip.

Ha ha ha. Kidding. I see you have Mini-Grip, which I too would've suggested, there's also left compatible:

Spyderco Kahr Delica, Chubby, Dice, Salsa, Equilibrium/Balance
Boker Subcom & Pelican, fast becoming one of my personal favs.

CS Mini Tuff Lite.

Blackhawk Hawkpoint (guys that made Be-Wharned knife). Super beefy.

A little over budget but if you can have an auto Id get a Benchmade 2551. Currently my number 1 3" blade and my number 1 auto I'v ever had/handled. This knife doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Light, compact, solid, lightning fast action, and my favorite blade shape/profile of all time. Love it as a dinner/steak/food prep knife.

Heres my 2550.

Its in a far away state right now being EDCd by my father. Just looking at the pictures Im starting to drool over the idea of a new 2551.. hmmm :D

If you can stretch another $25, the Benchmade 470-1 Emissary with 3" blade is fantastic. Deep carry clip, comfortable ergos.
