OP - if you're going to stick to that sub-$50 budget, you're simply not going to get a better knife than your Rat 1. I'd advise you get a Rat 2, then you'll have two of the best affordable folders ever built. And it's always my suggestion to forget about the folders all together and EDC a fixed blade...either way, happy hunting brother!

A neighbor of mine recently pick up a Kershaw Blur. Really a nice knife. If I did not already own Benchmade's Volli and a 551 Grip, I would have a Blur on it's way to my mailbox. Pick up a Blur and never look back. Take the Speed Safe out if you do not want assisted opening.
