So, here's the deal: i live in Denmark, where we can only carry slipjoints,
with maximum blade length of 2 3/4 inches, it has to be two handed!
so that means: No thumbstud, No thumbhole, No NOTHING! (which seriously sucks!)
so i figured that i would probably ending up lugging something traditional around:rolleyes:
I like the idea of having multiple blades but i would like one (or two) main "large" blades!
Thanks

I'm thinking Copperhead. That would work really good. Multitple blades, one large one small. Good on hand, good in pocket, very non-threatening.

well i know this is in traditional forums. but maybe you could buy a spyderco DKPK. the denmark penknife. it was specifically made for denmark knife users.

There's no shortage of very nice two blade pocket knives. Do they sell Case over there?

If so, maybe try a small Texas jack, or one of the smaller trappers. There's copperheads, and Barlow's, which are great edc pocket knives. With two blades, you can sharpen each blade a bit different for some added versitility.

And then there's always Swiss Army Knives. They must be popular in Denmark.

How about a canoe.

It has to be smaller than a peanut?

Are you sure about the 2 3/4" maximum?

I am not aware of a production slipjoint that will fi the bill.

That 2 3/4" is blade length, not overall closed as most knives are described. I think the big blade on my Case barlow is under 2 3/4", so anything listed as 3 3/8" should be alright.

A barlow comes to mind. You can use one of those all day long without getting a hand cramp. Having a main clip blade with a smaller pen blade makes for a nice combination.

Is that 2.75"/7cm CUTTING EDGE or total blade length?

Böker's Large Stockman has a 2.75" cutting edge for example.

A Medium Stockman from Böker, CASE,Queen and others should be alright in that instance. You get 3 blades on a Stockman to play with! Congress pattern could be considered too, you get 4 on that.

Certainly glad that in other parts of Scandinavia where I live, there isn't this blade restriction. The only restriction is simple and it's this: threaten somebody or menace people in public with a knife without provocation and you'll get locked up or fined and your knives confiscated.

You didn't say how much you're wanting to spend. My Case/Bose Dogleg Jack 1st came to mind, with its 2.75" ATS-34 Spear-point blade, but they're not inexpensive.

If you're looking for a 2 blade knife, the mini Trapper comes to mind, Barlow, & a Canoe. All of those are typically from 3 3/8-3 5/8" & their main blade shouldn't exceed 2.75".

If you want multiple blades (More than 2), then I'd suggest a Stockman or Whittler that's closed length is no more than 3.5" or so.

Good luck with whatever you get.

Dark Texas Jack would have been perfect, except mainblade is 2 5/8" long... If you could get someone to reprofile the place like modified wharncliffe and reduce length bit to legal it would be awesome. But Peanut is good contender and Small Texas Jack is very worthy too.

SMALL TEXAS JACK! I cannot say enough good about'em. I've tried and own many diff makes, models and sizes of slip joints. This one is my EDC. I mainly use larger blade for food prep and stout smaller blade for everything from work to play. I just don't think a Man can go wrong with a Small Texas Jack in his pocket. M
