I got a Boker Pocket Bowie recently. It's not a bad knife but it just isn't doing it for me. I am strongly considering a BHK Patch Knife, but I have also been scouring the makers' area. I'd love to hear about and maybe see what other small fixed blades folks are toting around in their pockets.

Mike Snody has been offering his small custom fixed blades for a very affordable price lately. He calls it his "economic stimulus package". If you have $100 to spend he can make something for you, just give him a call.

Folist,

I am about ready to order a slightly modified "EDC 60" from micheal morris knives. He goes by mykulmorris here on the forum and the edc 60 might fill the bill. I also like the looks of Bark rivers "essential EDC" and their "City knife". I don't have any experience with those last two but they sure look tempting.

Let us know where you land and give us a review so we can all drool.

Thought throw the razels in the ring- the disturbingly expensive custom ones and the crkt ones

If you don't mind spending some coin, go design your own and get it custom made. Here is my design that I had a maker turn into reality. It is 7 inches overall length.

If you want something hand made I recommend Ray Kirk..I just purchased a Pocket Medicine and it is on it's way. He has a few more he just made too. His website is rakerknives and you have to look under the knives for sale section to see a decent pic. It is about 3 inch blade length and 6.5 to 6.75 inches long and comes with a little pouch sheath. I paid about 160 bucks that is with shipping! Not bad for a hand forged blade from an ABS master blade smith!! His prices are inline price wise with Bark River and other production/mid tech companies and are a bargain with surpassing quality. He won a lot of major awards in cutting with his 52100 steel.

I am a huge fan of the ESEE Izula. It's a great design and Rowen manages to do some sort of a wizard magic heat treat on their 1095. It's easy on the wallet, too! Almost forgot, you simply cannot beat ESEE's warranty.

Get a Mora 2/0. If nothing else as a backup to your EDC fixed blade. 3" blade, 1.5 oz. with sheath, very sharp if you polish up the scandi grind good and sharp otherwise, and it is very non threatening.

My pocket fixed blade is a Dawson custom tsuba. Really depends on the size of your pockets, if I wore some goofy skateboard/punk pants (I don't know what they're called) I could probably fit my RAT 7 LOL!

Thank you for all of the suggestions, which I am investigating. What I have in mind is something about six inches overall, and it must fit my KSF pocket sheath.

Jinco!

I have carreid the Izula in a very minimal, kydex pocket sheath for years. They both have jimping on the sheaths for a quick release. One rig is a little more squared off at the edge portion of the sheath which also allows for a lanyard to be pulled / catching on pocket and releasing Izula. Top two rigs and a closeup of well made jimped sheath.

Pic shows some of the exposed jimping on the sheath, it runs all the way to the top!

I carried a Spyderco Street Beat but found it to be too bulky. Nice little blade but not for pocket carry.
