Recommend some pocket-sized fixed blades, please.

I actually had one of these for several years. I loved the quality but the blade wasn't as pointy as I like in a small EDC.

You'd sure love a Street Beat - sharp & as pointy as h*ll. Works nice in bothe grips. If I buy another one, I'm getting a custom sheath for it though (a little too bulky for me).

Got any ideas of what you might be getting yet?

Cant go wrong with the izula :D

Even with the slabs on the handle you cant see it in your pocket :P
Although i don't recommend the venom green when trying to conceal it ;P

I'm leaning towards either a Blind Horse Frontier First Patch or a couple I've seen up for sale in the makers' area.

I also recently picked up the Bark River Bravo Necker 2 (3.5" blade) and the Ka-bar San Mai Becker Necker. Love both of them, although in performance, I have to give the edge to the BRKT. I do like that bottle opener on the BK11 however, which is why it's joined my EDC rotation.

The only knife I have that fits this description is the Izula. It bit me while paracording of course but other than that I love it.

How hard is it to strip the coating off an Izula?

Easy. I went to the hardware store and asked for the strongest pain stripper. I brought a spray can home and bent a clothes hanger to hold just inside to hole and coated it in the foam. It said 20 minutes but it just started getting loose, so I waited an hour and used water & rubber gloves. The paint pulled off the Izula like a rubber sheath. Had to scrape a couple nooks & crannys but no sweat.

Poppycock. Izulas don't bite, they just mark their territory by taking a small blood sample from it's owner. You belong to it as mush as it belongs to you now.

That's why I always get cut within the first day of owning every knife and yet never again

Another vote for the Izula. I have a KFU Nessmuk on the way and am looking forward to carrying that in place of my Izula for a while.
