I'm going to a "meatfest". Basically, it is meat and poker. Each person has to bring 1.5 lbs of meat to get in. I'm trying to think of a unique meat to take. Anything thoughts on a survival/wilderness meat spin?
Beef curtains would be a welcome addition to any sausage fest. If you'll have access to a grill, fur burgers would be mighty tasty. If you need something with a more wilderness/survival theme, bring some beaver, the boys will thank you for it.
Offal. Hearts are one of my favorites. Kidneys work great on kebab sticks if you have the right combination of goodies to offset the dryness. I can't stand liver but there's no doubt it can be very tender if done right flashed in a pan or on a griddle.
I know a guy that gets me meat from an Ostrich farm. I can get you the site if you are interested (I'm not affiliated with them, I'm sure you can get it anywhere). It's super high in protien and doesn't tast gamy (sp?) at all.
Groundhog, but don't tell them what it is. I've heard its actually quite good but haven't tried it.
Emu shouldn't be too hard to find.
This party sounds very Brazilian. We have restaurants here in which the waiters walk around with every cut/type of meat you can imagine and just slice it off onto your plate.
My favorite is Brahma Bull hump, awesome meat, finely marbled meat/fat that fries itself crispy on the outside. Mac
