Recommendation: Umnumzaan or 0801S110V

It depends on what you use your knife for. Others may have different reasons for choosing knives than you. Keep in mind the relative brittleness of and difficulty of sharpening S110V versus S35-VN.

This statement really makes no sense to me. So what if the materials are the same? They are good materials, and the design is completely different.

I have a sports car, and I want an SUV. But my sports car has a metal body and rubber tires. Do I really need another car with a metal body and rubber tires?:rolleyes:

You mention that the flipper is fun to play with, it's that is the main reason for the new knife, then get the 0801. You won't be disappointed. It's cool, that was the main reason I bought mine. After the novelty wore off it didn't get carried. I ended up selling it to get something else I wanted more. YMMV:)

Touchè, my friend! I don't know now... I'm second guessing myself lol. I watched a couple of videos on both knives and I like the design and overall sort of refinement I guess of the Umnumzaan. I just like the design better. However, I like that the 0801 has S110V (which I love) and is a flipper. I love flippers, but I don't mind stud openers either. I'm unsure... [emoji52]
