Recommendations? Medieval video game and juicers...

I'm looking at getting a juicer (fruits, veggies, etc...) Anybody have any input? Something strong and easy to clean is all I need.

You might try a vita-mix. It's a blender on steroids. It grinds everything up and you drink it pulp and all. It's what I use.

The guys at the fair use them to turn 2x4's into sawdust. It can grind wheat to flour, and then mix and knead the dough for bread.

I've even thrown in a bunch of chicken bones from the soup to make an invigorating calcium drink that tastes good to me and disgusts and freaks out my teenagers. (Actually it doesn't taste that good but the freak-out part makes it worth drinking.)

I use it to make peanut butter from roasted peanuts, and to make special sauces of my own (and Red Flower's) invention.

I got an old model (3600?) on e-bay for a lot less than a new one costs.

They're pretty strong (when my son saw it he said "That looks more powerful than our lawnmower!) and easy to clean by squirting in some soap, adding some water, and turning it on.

I've lost huge chunks of my life to two vieo games: Counterstrike and Diablo II.

Munk is right about the dark sense of menace in Diablo. It pervades the game.

Before there was Halo, before there was SOCOM...there was counterstrike;)
Man I love that game. That was the first game i played online. it was also the first game that I got spanked at...BIG TIME. What a wonderful mod based on the wonderful HL engine. The bots were fun too. They progressed their AI quickly with each new release. From the stupid ones the would walk into walls and fall off of buildings and die, to the ones that would actually strafe around corners, blast you, then side step back. I'm gonna half to pick that up for Xbox sometime.

So now how about consoles ... I'm sure there has to be some preferences between Xbox, Play Station, Nintendo? Is nintendo even still out there??

My friend just handed me a copy of Neverwinter Nights for PC. Looks pretty good. Originally I was playing Baldur's Gate which I thought was a great game.

Howard ~ Were you serious about the chicken bone smoothie?? That sounds disgusting. :barf:

Wldmn13 - thanks for the info ... check your email, I sent to you regarding the juicer. Also I tried loading Mount&Blade, but it wouldn't allow me to play on my computer. Looks like a solid game though.

Thanks,

ok another rare post but for some reason it's the video games that bring me out.

Danny, Shogun Total War was that particular comapany's first attempt at that play style. they did a great job and like the others, the movies of the geisha are worth every minute of the hours it took to get those girls to work for you.

Munk. In that Halo area where you couldn't get out, try looking for the lighted doors with the powered lights on the doors and frame, usually a clue of which way to go.

Dungeon Siege, the Baldur's Gate series are some of the best medieval type RPG's i've ever played. I've been a member of Everquest for 4 years and it's become a boring chat room with the rare potential for 3D violence.
Counter-Strike for xbox is great for multiplayer, but the single player campaign is a sleeper. Halo and Halo 2 are amazing games but they really shine in multiplayer as well, especially if you have at least 6 people instead of the normal 4 of my group. Still nothing more satisfying than chasing after an completely oblivious teenager running all over the map without looking behind himself, then when he comes to a stop to aim his sniper rifle at one of your teammates, WHACK on the back of his head with the huge sewer pipe of the rocket launcher

ok enough ranting now..and my hand is numb so i'll sign off. :D

For medieaval games, I would recommend the following:

Shogun: Total War - really captures the mass battle atmosphere
Age of Empires I & II - terrific graphics, but more resource-management than battle management

For medieaval fantasy gaming these are some of my favourites

* Diablo I & II - A classic. Plus the archer is kinda sexy looking

* Planescape Torment - Best storyline of any RPG i have ever played http://www.games.net/pc/103795/index.shtml

* Baldur's Gate I & II

* Neverwinter Nights

* Rune - A lesser known game based on Norse Mythology with some of the coolest melee combat in A PC game http://www.games.net/pc/104816/index.shtml

To the list above I would add World of Warcraft (WOW), a multiplayer online game, only my girlfriend threatens that if I get anymore friends addicted to this game, she will be using the biggest of my khukuris on the PC while I am sleeping. I should not tell you about the WOW website either at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/

As previously mentioned the Fallout series (Fallout I, Fallout II, Fallout: Tactics) are also tremendously cool - evocative storylines, wacky humor, cool gizmos, etc. Plus, how could one not like a game that allows you to aim weapons at the groin...

I've been playing videogames since I was 15 and I guess I never grew out of them (I'm 35 this past March), something that has gotten me "The Look" everytime the lady in my life wants some attention.
