Recommendations on simple higher end edc

I can also personally vouch for the ZT 0450. It's my most carried folder.

Good one! I have the ProTech Rockeye, which is a Les George design (I'm told Les even makes the parts, ProTech just assembles them). If you can carry an automatic, you might want to take a look at it. I find it carries pretty small; it's quite slim. It's a pretty simple knife, but it does open with some authoritah. Beware! :)
