Red Ronin in A2

Thanks guys.

Dan, thanks. It took me awhile to figure it all out but it was worth it. I like the way it looks and gives a nod to tradition.

Is the knot a traditional one? it looks awesome!

I learned it off of Youtube from a guy wrapping swords in Japan. You take one end and lay it over the last wrap and tuck it back under it pull taut. Then you take the other end of the other cord and slip it under the last wrap on on side of the knot, make a little cup type fold up against the knot and push the end back under the last wrap on the other side of the knot and gently pull the end until the cup fold hugs the knot. Then trim and tuck.

That looks good, bud. The colour is nice with the bead blasted finish. My only critique would be with the picture. I would have chosen a different colour for the backing to make the red pop... It doesn't pass the "squint test". You should be able to squint and still (clearly) make out the complete profile of the subject.

Personally, I would like to see that knife protographed on a black/charcoal roof shingle.

Just for you handsome :)

Download "Picassa" from Google(it's free and safe... just make sure you uncheck all the other "bonus" toolbar crap it tries to slip in.)

It's much better with that background, but it looks like the focus in on the kydex rather than the knife.

I can see all the texture of the kydex, but not read your mark.

That pict was with a different camera and it did not seem to focus as sharp as my other camera. The mark is small and I think I will try to get a better shot of it.
