Red Skyline Giveaway, Hooray

Oh yeah, also, a nice mirror polish like this guy (though it's hard to tell from the pic):

None of my other knives has the nice reflective reflective finish as that Kershaw Hawk Ti. Somehow, even after years of use (I bought it new, when it was released), the finish is still pristine. I'm probably very careful about how I use it, but still! It's beautiful.

My first thought was a ZT0550/0551 with downgraded materials and then marketed under the Kershaw banner. Go with 14C28N for the blade and stainless for the framelock, but I think swapping out the expensive Ti framelock side for cheaper stainless steel would turn it into a boat anchor. Even then, I don't think it'd come in at around $90 MSRP. Upon further thought, probably quite a stupid and unrealistic idea.

Next thought was a downgraded Speedform II:
- Downgrade the steel from Elmax to standard ol' 14C28N
- I'd prefer a framelock instead of a liner lock, so I'd say a stainless steel lock side
- Flat, textured G10 instead of the current 3D machined G10
- The plain Kershaw clip, tip up carry

Or a Salvo with a few changes
- G10 scale and stainless steel liner for the non lock side
- Put the ramped thumbstuds on it instead. This would kinda ruin the thin profile, but I think the thumbstuds are the worst part of the knife. Not too bad once it's broken in, but out of the box, I hated it.
- Pillar construction instead of the current backspacer
- PB washers
 
A USA version of the new Burst. 14c28 steel with G-10 handles like the factory proto. Maybe even a bit larger. Stonewash and black finish blades. That one would sell like crazy. It would be a Kershaw version of a ZT folder.

Cool Dave. I'd love to see the Avalanche come back with Elmax blade and more contoured G10. That'd be a sweet knife.

Would love to see some more small, solid folders from Kershaw. Bigger than the OD2 and less beefy than the HalfTon.
 
I would like to see a "gentlemen" version skyline with linen micarta and a low ride un-obtrusive (smaller) pocket clip.
 
id like to see a kershaw groove with a damascus blade(preferably ladder or raindrop) with carbon fiber onlays. That would be wicked, and maybe it would have the kvt bearing system as well. im sure i went over the 90$msrp limit but that would be epic. Thanks for the oppurtunity.

Composite skyline or even a frame lock skyline would be neat. Maybe offer more G10 colors for the skyline.
 
I would like to see a small (8"-10"), American made hatchet with leather washer type handle and quality leather sheath.

Thanks for the opportunity Dave! I would like to see a reintroduced G10 Tyrade with simple g10 handles available in tan, green, and orange. Blade steel just something interesting and not too cost prohibitive...
