Red Skyline Giveaway, Hooray

Thanks for the contest! How about a Skyline in S30V, choice of scale color (ala customize a Grip on BM's site), and the clip MUST be switchable for tip up lefty carry. PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE :D

I love the shape of the tilt but it's out of my price range. How about a budget version with g10 and stainless steel handles and s30v blade? Please...

I'd like to see a bigger beefier version of my favorite Kershaw, the RAM, say in S30V (and yes I know of the MUDD, but its sealed design makes it less then ideal for flipping/flicking).

That, and I'd like to see more styles of locking mechanisms, liner locks work fine but they're boring. Like the thumb stud lock, it was pretty cool and unique:thumbup:, what happen to using it:confused:, it was ambidextrous too (yes I'm left handed:D).

Thanks for the chance KG. I'm in.

What I'd like to see is a non-CB G-10 Tyrade with 14C28N blade on the standard run to keep the cost down and 3D machined handles and Elmax (or other fancy steel) on a sprint run. Optional colors for scales sold separately. :D

I would like too see the RAM with the ramped lock release like in the pictures on their site.

Or, a Composite Blade shallot with the black handles, oh and make it left-handed as well!

Thanks for the giveaway!

skyline in s30v, medium/dark blue g10 scale, frame lock, ikbs, and same weight or less. thanks for the giveaway!!

Thanks for the giveaway!!

I know it would be a stretch, but maybe a limited edition...

A black Shallot with the frame lock side in black, with mother of pearl on the other side. The contrast would be most attractive, IMHO.

Way-cool thread - thank you for the chance, Dave!

A lot of things posted here are MUCH over the $90 MSRP. lol

Based on what I've seen, I think that a KVT'd flipper with standard steel, frame lock, and different blade style would be hott. Could be the RAM-size.

Thank you for the chance!

I'd like to see a Speedform II with a steel framelock, and the same G10 they currently have on the non locking side. Add a pocket clip like the one on the first Speedform and make it tip down. I think that would be awesome. Thanks for the chance.

I would like to see a few kershaws with a different finish. out here in Korea, these bead-blast finished knives are getting a lot of rust spots, and I oil them every time I use them. So maybe either a satin or possibly, a mirror edge. besides that, I don't see any problems with the knives in the least bit!!! Keep up the good work, and thank you for the Give away!

Hi Dave,it would be nice if Kershaw could make a liner lock or a frame lock folder that is exactly like the Kershaw rogue.Very comfortable feel in the hand and has a very nice utilitarian blade shape.

I'd absolutely love a RAM composite or with carbon fiber scales. It's such a cool knife and I'd love to see more versions!

Thanks for the chance. I just bought a red Skyline from you, but if I win, I'll give it to my son. He is about due for an upgrade.

To answer your question, I would like like to see Kershaw build and sell something with blue G10 scales and good blade steel finished in something other than bead blast. I don't recall seeing blue G10 and I was looking forward to grabbing the announced blue Tyrade before it was pulled back. I haven't warmed to Sandvik steels with bead blast yet (they rust where I live) and I would prefer a stonewash or polished S30V or M390 or Elmax.

Probably the perfect Kershaw would be a frame lock titanium JYD II with a blue G10 scale on one side with a polished M390 blade (none of the wavy composite blade line on the SG2 version.) I would add IKBS to the flipper and maybe make the whole thing 10-15% bigger. Let's lose the JYD airplane motif and add a little texturing to the G10. No brick pattern, though.

, it needs to be Kershaw, not ZT, and keep the price point around $90 MSRP, would it be a special blur, leek, skyline, etc. What steel and handle material and color, be as realistic as you can. I will use a random number generator to pick the winner next Saturday evening, sometime after 5PM pacific time. Thanks as always for all your support.

$90 MSRP is tough to design to, I'll give it a shot.

How about a budget version of the Nakamura, with polished nickel bolsters and polished G10 instead of the quince wood and fancy bolsters, with 14C28N steel. And a double thumb stud, if I remember right the current Nakamura has a thumbstud on only one side. It'd probably come out to about a $150 MSRP, so making it in China or Taiwan with Cr18Mov steel would be okay with me.

I would like to see a junkyard dog I with the non-lock side replaced with carbon fiber. The barring that, since it's discounted and all, I would like a cf skyline.

skyline in s30v, medium/dark blue g10 scale, frame lock, ikbs, and same weight or less. thanks for the giveaway!!

Skyline with s30v for sure.

Framelock titanium skyline with s30v is something I would pay extra for, but even a g10 version with s30v would be awesome. Different scale color would be a nice bonus.

Edit: Wooo I'm over 25 posts (not just for the purpose of this thread, but it encouraged me to post more)!

For the $90 range:

Skyline with Blue G10 Scales and a polished s30v blade (polished like the ATS34 Hawk blade). I would be all over that.
