Gang- I got my Red Svord peasant knife back from a friend who was going to sell it. It's in my pocket. When I got this knife back I realized that this is the only knife that I really need... to cut things. All for $15..
Who carries a peasant folder?

I like carrying a Svord, love the design and aesthetics. Mine was a gift from a forum friend.

I carry a blue mini in my bag every day. It's been getting quite a workout with the 10,000 Amazon Prime boxes I've had to break down in the past couple of days.

It's a great knife, great steel, it just takes up a bit too much space in my jeans' pockets. So lately I've had either a Cadet, the Case Teardrop or the AG Russell 3" lockback in my right front pocket and the Svord in the small pocket of my backpack. That set of combos hasn't steered me wrong yet.

I've almost bought one, several times, lol. I will do it one of these days. They look really cool.

I currently do... I don't know what is it with this little thing, but since I got it, it didn't get out of my pocket, I carry it along with my other blades in rotation.
I did use it few times, it cuts fine... I like a locked blade but for whatever reason I'm attracted to this thing and it's in on my desk even now... :D
Never thought I'd like such a knife... Some friends from another knife forum are telling me that it's time for me to re-discover the Opinels too..

I will most likely get another eventually... but for now I gave the one I had to my girlfriend's sister for Christmas, along with an Opinel #8 in walnut... she'll get both tomorrow under the tree, since you open presents on Christmas Eve in Poland. ;)

Thanks, gang and thanks for the pix.
A classic is just that, for good reason(s).
The handle feels so good in the hand and that blade is not going to fold in and cut it. I like the handle, and the tang, length also. The back of the tang is right at the top of my pocket for an easy grab.

I have a orange mini & a CKC hiker. Great steel. Think I will carry mine on Christmas.

Decent steel for the dollars, tinkerability, what's not to like?

Gotta wear gloves at work these days. Svords play well with gloves as well.

Those are not factory scales, are they?? Details?
Machinist here. That's hard anodized aluminum. The store bought metal scales seem pretty thin on utube. Those are 3'/16" and there's a rubber o-ring spacer on the Chicago screw at the butt.

:D ^
Thanks, again, for the pix and comments. One will love this folder. If not, your bank account will be ok.

I carry a mini sometimes. I have a full size one, but never use it.

They are good basis for knives out of the box. Very good steel... that needs significant work to really shine. My only real complaint is that they're so bulky, even the mini, considering the size of the blade. One of the projects on the back burner is to make some new, thinner handles. I think even the regular model might be pocketable with some smart handle fabricating.

The svörd peasant is a great blade. The quality control can be a bit rough, but they clean up well.

I think if it had a pocket clip it would be perfect for me. So right now I'm in the process of trying to find just a clip that I can attach.

I threw some blue jean micarta on mine :).

I really want to want one (looove 1095), but that big pecker sticking out of the top seems uncomfortable, like Id rather carry a fixed for the same size-ish folder.

Hmmmmmmm....
There's a lot of machinists in my family....
I've never bought one because I didn't like the scales...

Svörds are made of L6, not 1095 :).

And the exposed tang doesn't get noticed at all while you're using it.

I tend to think of it more like a short handled fixed blade with a folding handle extension :).
