Attention Redmeadow Email Newsletter (Dibs, Sales, Etc..)

Enjoyed the letter.

So when the next one goes out, is it whoever sends an email first gets dibs or how does it work exactly?

Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it. I try to keep them short and sweet.

If a Newsletter has Dibs or any kind of offer I give a heads up what time it's coming out at least a few hours in advance in this thread, sometimes the day before. They can go.... fast.

In the Spirit of New Years, a "Drink One, Spill One" offer is coming in a Newsletter tonight.

Backstory: A long time ago in a bar far, far away I knew a guy that was a lightweight drunk, he'd get hammered and swear he drank a dozen beers. Well he might have bought a dozen by the end of the night but he'd 'Drink one, Spill one, and Give one away' and that became his his nickname.

Coming out at 6pm Mountain Standard Time tonight.

I'll try to give more notice for these in the future

I missed this one,

Nice score for someone and best of luck to those in the running for the other.

I'm looking forward to seeing those who might land their first Cowbell. I've not found a better fixed blade for pocket carry.

Drawing for the Giveaway isn't until Saturday, I'll put you down if you'd like.

I meant to mention this yesterday but I've got one email address that I'm getting a delivery failure on. If a Greg J. happens to be here or anyone knows a Greg J. message me.

Great to hear, I may be partial but I'm a big fan of them too 😁

That's an absolutely epic coke bottle lambsfoot(?). The short bolster looks perfect with that. Does the bolster swell out towards the end or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

Edit:Just found Rihidian in Instagram, looks like it's a wide band that gives it that swell, that's awesome.

Thank you, John. Yeah, Rhidian is a gem. I think that style of bolster can be called a couple of different things but is often called a rat tail bolster (if memory serves). There are different variations of it with this particular example being a bit wider.

Here is a better pic (when it was a little fresher):

I had Rhidian make it based on an unusual vintage example:

That's cool, thanks for the breakdown, I'm not terribly familiar with slipjoint patterns and nomenclature. I really like the way that looks and I'm usually a fan of the longer typical Barlow type bolsters (lacking the right term there). That last pic reminds me that I need to get a hold of some bone handle material and that I need to use some antler.

With help from my new employees and a deck of cards, the Giveaway Winner has been drawn. My administrative specialist just sent the winner an Email. Congrats Embry!!

On a side note, you'll start seeing emails from redmeadow tjat may have the kids names in the signature line. Eventually I'll get business emails set up for each of them but I'll let you before that happens. For now EVERY email from us will only come from redmeadowknives@gmail.com
