Attention Redmeadow Email Newsletter (Dibs, Sales, Etc..)

For those of you who land your Cowbell dibs, here's a bit of a tease. The two on the left have G-Carta from G.L. Hansen and Sons - those guys always have something interesting and they are pretty good to work with too.

Best of luck!

Dylan, I’m going to have to get a pic of the Cowbell collection here under my roof. You have tied me. 😁

I feel like you and I (and some others) may have gotten in when the getting was good. Now the word is getting out that John makes an awesome knife and the competition is only going to get stiffer for those coveted dibs. 😁

I was looking at their site last night. What size pairs did you order to send to John?
Really whatever he has in stock will work, 1/4 or 5/16 work well and are usually the same price, it depends on what he has in stock. In the case that's out of stock of those and you're really set on it you could get a thicker block and I can mill it down. All of his pieces will usually fit lengthwise. You can let me know when you find and I can go on there and help find the right size, he'll also ship directly to me.

No question about that!!! If some of these new guys saw some of the vintage ;) Redmeadow stuff floating around, they might have an episode lol…

PĆ druig PĆ druig What blade shape you find the most useful?

Great question! The only variation that I do not have is the Spear, though one could argue that the Zulu is pretty similar, improved even. I get the most use out of the original drop point but my Zulu spear is relatively new by comparison and I find it just as agreeable. Having that extra pointiness is really helpful. I'm a fan of straight edged blades but they can be a bit limiting - I like the versatility that the drop point and Zulu spear provide in an EDC sized fixed blade.

Not sure if I made that any easier for you. Sorry. 😬
