Let's set the context first: my sale thread is here. RGRAY's GBU thread calling me a low-life (now locked) is here.
I'd first like to address why I chose to sell the light to the "interested" party (awareunlikeu), and not RGRAY (though he had a firm "I'll take it" posted): awareunlikeu sent me a PM seeking clarification on a critical piece of information that I had left out - approximate runtime. I realized the multi-mode nature (low and high) was missing from my post too. I replied and updated my post simultaneously. It was only fair to wait for awareunlikeu to confirm, considering important information that may swing a buying decision was missing from my sale thread.
Meanwhile, RGRAY posted a firm I'll take it, to which I replied with the PM that he has publicized in the negative GBU thread. In a span of about 40 minutes, he made four posts to my thread and sent me four PM's about my being unfair, not sticking to my conditions, etc. His impatience and rudeness is evident from his posts in the sale thread. Unlike his claims of making him wait two hours, my two PM's to RGRAY are exactly an hour and 10 minutes apart (6.49pm and 7.59pm PST), with his final PM arriving at 8.05pm PST in my inbox (foul words edited by me):
As for those who think I violated my own rules - the disclaimer "I reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone without stipulating any reason" is reserved for exceptional situations (which are thankfully, rare). This was the first time I had to invoke it, and hopefully also the last. Not everyone can be pleased all the time, and I am perfectly okay with that. Thanks to the excellent folks on bladeforums and the moderators, who made me aware of the thread and added a balanced perspective.
RGRAY, there was certainly no need for so much of negativity. There are many things in a deal that are not immediately evident - jumping to conclusions without this information is tricky and almost always causes problems to both sides. There is a communication etiquette, and foul language and impatience are certainly not a part of it. I hope you get a chance to buy the Mako II from someone soon, good luck!

First "I'll take it" via email/PM/post gets it.
You are a liar and a low life.
I will put this in the good, bad and ugly because you deserve it.
