WOW..............
My ignore list GROWS and grows..

TRUE acts of childlike behavior
truly shown on this potential buyers behalf
MY suggestion

Let things cool off...while you are fairly ahead......
Poorly handled--At best....

When stated...I choose to SELL..too whomever I choose.. ITS that..
For any reason of the sellers choosing..

This kind of trigger happy BS that gets here AMAZES ME......Over a Flashlight AT THAT.........:thumbdn:

As my father used to say --- "They got the same clothes to get glad in that they got mad in."

My Father said that too.

Awesome.

I don't have an issue with what Choombak did for the other buyer. They extended a courtesy to the other person and whether you like it or not, they are under no obligation to sell to you. The rapid fire posts/messaging and getting hung up on the 2 hour wait just shows impatience. Not everyone is attached to the internet 24/7.

Being rude and impatient is a quick way to burn bridges and I've seen this same behavior from Rick on other forums (although not to this degree).

So an hour and 10 minutes is ok? lol

Like I said, lets stop saying first I'll take it gets it.
I think that amount of time is fine, and wouldn't be offended at all. Not everyone sits at a computer all day, and things happen. You are entitled to nothing. Life does not stop for BladeForums, and it certainly doesn't stop for you or any particular member. (Of course, there are exceptions to that)

The real problem is that there is such a rash of terrible, whiny, entitled buyers lately. Is it just that I'm noticing these threads? Makes me not want to sell because I hate dealing with this type of thing/person.

The use of the term "low life" is really cracking me up for some reason! :)

It was considerate of you to send the buyer info that you had left out of the thread. Some would've just sold to the next guy, but what you did is the right thing.
It wasn't his fault you left the info out.
I would buy from you without hesitation. Not so much for the other.

Rick,

What I see is you being mad at someone for being nice to someone.

And throwing the equivalent of a tantrum about it...

The mind boggles...

I would have done the same as the seller did here because:

A: It's fair (If someone can't say "I'll take it" because they need some more info, they deserve to get that info.)

B: Because it's his flashlight to sell to who ever he wants to, for any reason.

There never was a need to explain, anyone that reads that sales thread can figure out what happened.

What it seems to boil down to is rgray didnt get what he wanted when he wanted it and threw a all out tantrum the seller was well within his rights in my eyes.

Okay, if you insist on being in the peanut gallery, at least get people's names right for crying out loud. Best to step back unless you can add something, vouch for the people involved, or are a mod on this specific section.

I will never forget one similar situation that involved me.............

I had been searching for a specific Socom DA for quite a while when all of a sudden one appeared here for sale. The seller's post stated "The first I'll take it, gets it" so I jumped to post. I was the second poster, the first posted something to the effect "I might take it if blah blah blah, please let me know"
my post was "I'll take it"
The seller posted the answer to the first guy but did not acknowledge my post. The first guy posted back "I am interested but will let you know", I again posted I'll take it"

I was not sold the knife and my emotions ran very high. I did not start a thread in GB&U but had I it would have probably looked and sounded like Rick's.

When you want something badly and think you followed the seller's rules and are not sold the item it can piss you off. That's all that happened here.

Bottom line; Seller has the right to sell to whoever he/she wants to. But if they do something different than what they say they should at least expect some hard feelings.
